Hi
I have just had DTD quite by chance, and am confused. My daughter wanted a hairdryer and was charged £50 but it should have been £25, so she was given a refund for £50 paid back on her card, double the difference back. But thats all that was on the receipt..£50 So where was the £50 back she paid in the first place. I am confused!!!0 -

Thats right you should have paid £25 for it, you have had £50 refunded to your card which cancels out your purchase of £50 so means your hairdryer was free.....oooh now please tell us make model and barcode lol:rotfl:The art of being happy is to be satisfied with what you have0 -
Really want to hack off a trout??
Get your camera phone out really quickly take a photo of them once you have received you DTD, advise the trout you will be attaching it to the complaint you are going to make!
That's really not on! I don't know about you but I would hate someone taking my picture like I was some criminal. You may not like them but they're not doing anything wrong and deserve to be treated the way you would want to be treated. If you feel they're being unprofessional make a note of their name by all means.0 -

Did you keep the hairdryer? You should have got back the £50 and got the hairdryer, making it free!0 -
Yes she did get to keep the dryer (cant tell you the bar code, she has gone home) but maybe I dont understand it, when you say you get double the difference back, ie £50. But thats what she paid in the first place! I thought you got the £50 refunded that you paid first of all, THEN double the diff back as well!!!!0

anika - the hairdryer had a price of £25 but your daughter paid £50 which is £25 more than she should. As well as being refunded the £25 extra, she was also refunded another £25 for double the difference (DTD) thus making the hairdryer free as £50 went out and £50 will go back onto the card.
Any ideas on even the colour of the hairdryer or the make?0 -
God i am thick, it wont go in! When you say double the difference, what it means is she got her money back (because DTD was what she paid in the first place) and got the item for free! I will ask her in the morning for the make etc.. Me thinks its too late for my brain to work!0
