    Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Savvy Shopper!
    There are a few blonde haired ladies on CS, its this store that didnt give my husband DTD at the weekend on the razors, SEL £3, went through at £9.99!

    I had a good look at the PowerGlide razors in Bris a few days ago - there seemed to be two SELs for virtually identical products. I checked the barcodes and decided that they were right, although it's a fair point that (as someone just posted on here) it's not the customer's job to check barcodes.

    I'm sure it couldn't have possibly been my favourite blonde CS lady that denied your husband! ;)

    One point though is if you have a particularly clever trout she may ask why you used a £5 off £50 till spit if you expected the blocks only to be £15 eachie less than £50 . I know the receipt isn't specific and it just says coupon but it did cross my mind when I was sweating in the Cs queue lol!

    But the thing is the SEL says £30 so you were expecting to pay £60 for the two, it's only when you saw the sticker afterwards that you realised. This only works when the SEL shows full price but there is a price sticker on the item.
    What an experience:eek::eek:

    glad you didn't move until you got your DTD!
    ..... and to think I was brickin' myself today with 2 megablocks! CS staff knows me but I don't think she served me with the blocks last time, she went to get the sel and spent ages whispering down the phone and i got the evil eye alright but gave me DTD without me asking for it

    Just been on to CS and lodged a complaint so awaiting a phonecall back. To go from full refund and no items to retain items and get 3 for 2 refund shows they knew they were wrong. If I was wrong then they wouldn't have budged would they? But to be spoken to the way I was was embarassing in front of other customers hence me telling the trout in a loud voice that I am not employed by them and it is not my job to check prices and offers.

    Can't believe I got the old SS chestnut. So if I go through a normal till I don't have to watch the prices showing up on the mini-screen but at a self service I am meant to double check everything like an SA would yet not get paid for it? The fact that I have to scan my own shopping and pack it for free is bad enough without having to tell the store their prices are wrong.

    true
    it was the other way round at mine, stickers had been removed but SEL said £15 so could have been caught out, luckily i didn't have any problems and she didn't either didn't see i used coupons or didn't care

    Got her name and told CS exactly what I thought of her attitude.

    As for taking pics. Well I have thick skin for getting DTD but don't think I've have brass ones to take a photo! Would probably get banned (if I'm not already black listed at least) and there's probably a law saying you can take pics of people without consent.

    Well the only thing is, that particular store had lots of landline phones with the offer due to expire today. Someone was a bit ahead of themselves and had taken down the offers so no point in price checking. Actually grateful as I don't think I should go back again too soon for a DTD. It's ok getting accidental DTD (3 in the last few days alone not including the mega bloks which I knew about) so goes to show how lax their staff and/or systems are.

    Isn't there something in the law that says you can film and take pics in public places but other than this you need permission from person? Where I used to work there was a notice about not being allowed to do this without written permission. I should imagine a name description is more than acceptable for a complaint. If you just want to hack them off though.....
    Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.
