Fleets bridge still have the tumbler glasses, much to the dismay of cs lady, she had asked someone to remove the stickers twice today already! Also got a lady shave, Philips with out of date sel, scanning at £40 sel said 1/3 off, combined above with - £5 off £50 and a sainsburys £6 off so with cash back spent few pence.

Checked all phones and iPod docks and hair are, even though sells are out of date, still scanning at lower price.

Out of interest, some poor old fella was asking why he didn't get a petrol voucher, he hadn't spent enough and got the wrong tuna...I gave him mine as off on hols so won't use it. He was very grateful! Anyhow, the lady at cs said you shouldn't have done that, you can use three at once! So confirmed that for this store, plus I've still got loads anyway!!!

Tower Park had the glasses yesterday too, must be a new delivery. :D.

Can also report the 20p paxo is a penny cheaper in Asda, I'm glad I did not buy too many of those. As we know every penny counts, may see another mouse or something. ;)

Went in fleetsbridge earlier was going to get some glasses but made mistake of going through till instead of s/s and the sa realised and manually adjusted the price for me to 4 for £3 nice lady! so i politley passed on them and will try again another day. couldnt find anything else interesting though

Welcome! Not sure you'll get any here, it put the cs woman in a fowl mood that her instructions hadn't been carried out, I think she did it herself in the end!

There must be someone else too, ang - I am a good boy and always take stuff that I've scanned back to its shelf. I believe in helping the elves as much as possible!

Anyway... sound the fanfare! I bring news! :rotfl:

I am making a brie and cranberry tart tonight so needed some cranberry sauce. Was pleased to spot Ocean Spray Wholeberry Cranberry Sauce 350g marked down from £1.65 to 50p a jar! Result! I bought 12 ;) Just to compare, Tesco Cranberry Sauce was 50p for only 200g, so if you can find this Ocean Spray stuff it's definitely worth getting a jar or two for Chrimbo at least. Still some left in Br*sl*ngton ang1234, as well as loads of 22p sweet chilli nuts ;)

I then had a good wander around the homeware and electronics sections, and this laptop stand caught my eye:

    Laptop Stand

    Laptop Stand Barcode

The stand was on offer for £12something - it had already been reduced twice. I bought it and it went through as £29.97. Apparently the offer had ended yesterday and it was an out of date SEL. Well fancy that! ;):rotfl:

CS only offered me STD ;) so I politely reminded them about DTD. She seemed a bit flustered and managed to screw up my refund - I only checked when I'd gone outside, but she only gave me £29.97 (the cost of the item) instead of £35 something (which would've been DTD). I couldn't be fussed to argue on this occasion, so I returned home on my bike with my backpack heaving... almost 10kg of jars and bottles on my back!

Almost forgot - I scanned some ties which were similar to the socks reported. There was a "No 1 Dad" tie, as well as a "Super Dad" and finally a "Grumpy Old Git" design. They were marked down from £4 to £2 but all three scanned at 50p. These were all in B*islingt*n T*sco. HTH

    Happy hunting! ;)

You done well with cranberry sauce, especially getting it all home in a backpack on your bike lol!:p I don't much like it but most of my family do so if there is any left later I may get a couple to put away for christmas, will def look for the chilli nuts Ive been looking for these for weeks :) Sorry to hear you got trouted, most of them aren't to bad on cs although the young kid with the long hair (who I don't seem to see there anymore either?) refused me DTD because I used self service and it doesn't apply to ss apparently, I was a novice at dtd then though so took his word for it, now im a bit more experianced I would stand my ground :D I will report back if I find anything else when I go in later ;)

No worries, it saves going up the escalator if you don't need to.

I have my eye on the organic sweetcorn in that aisle as it has a * on the SEL of 89p which I am sure someone says means something like it being discontinued and if you look up the top there are loads of packs of it with discontinued stickers on. I quite often give it a scan to see if dropped in price, especially as missed out on the 8p mexicorn, don't think the shelves ever got filled again.

Find it weird that the 2 stores prices differ sometimes though as the 40p naturally washing up liquid at TP is still 80p at fleet, and have found it on other items too. Noticed the homepride pasta bakes back in stock but scanning at £1 now.

I spotted a few expired 12/07/2011 SEL on some electricals (surrey quays store)

saw an ipod dock exactly like this - PHILIPS FIDELIO DS3020 DOCK FOR IPOD/IPHONE http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.211-3543.aspx

instore price - was £74.97 SEL stated save £30.00 making it £44.97, it scanned on the pricechecker at the higher price, so could get DTD £60
there were other philips ipod dock things/digital radio all on the same display with expired SEL.

Also saw an iron think it was like this one - Philips GC3330 Steam Iron http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-1751.aspx SEL stated £19.97 save £10.00 scanned on pricechecker at £29.97 so DTD would be £20.

and in the clearance section they had a canon pixma photo all in one printer - SEL expired 12/07/2011 stated £29.97 HALF PRICE from £59.97... scanned on pricecheck at £59.97 so could get it free... I didn't buy it though as too big to carry and don't drive... plus don't really need a photo printer.

    Was it this printer?

    Part of the Furniture
I went to get a GR dinner service but they didn’t have any but spotted Tesco’s 12 piece Porcelain set. Two SEL’s both with the same product description and bar code. One said £20, 2 for 3, the other said £11, 2 for 3, I even asked a young SA if the lower SEL applied to the dinner service and he checked that it did. Went through the tills and was charged £40 (2 x 20 as one free), and when she handed me the receipt I feigned surprise and said, Oh they are only £11 each but I’ve been charged £20 each.
Anyway cut to CS who spent half an hour checking with everyone bar the other customers and said no DTD even though they agreed that the lower priced SEL applied to the product, refused to call head office and so I said I would and the reply I got was, “ I don’t care if they say you are entitled to DTD I will override them and not give it to you”. I was very polite throughout and even explained that I couldn’t hang around too long as I had just had a scan in the nearby hospital & hadn’t eaten since last night and was due back to see the Dr but was still kept waiting half an hour. I think I should get DTD.

Is it best to e mail head office or write a letter?

“ I don’t care if they say you are entitled to DTD I will override them and not give it to you”.

The staff just get worse and worse. It's one thing to say something in the staff canteen, it's a whole other thing to be nasty/cheeky to someones face. I had a CS trout tell me "I'm not arguing with you any more, I'll just give you DTD" when I pushed her to comply with Tesco policy. If I was in the wrong then why would she risk her job and give me extra cash instead of calling HO or getting a manager to talk to me?

I had another DTD today in the same store where kids socks were stickered half price but scanned full. Used SS and when I went to CS the girl couldn't have been more pleasant and even made a point of saying I was getting DTD. What a difference between a young SA and an older one.

So that's 6 DTDs in less than a week and only 2 of which I knew in advance and of the two, one of them wasn't the stripey glasses but the other one was the mega bloks!!

God bless T and DTD for helping me feed & clothe my kids for next to nothing :T

I've nothing to lose, but with regards to my ongoing saga with the socks scanning as shoes and being overcharged £28, then being left a voicemail saying I can have refund if I hand my club card details over as they want to monitor me, then seeing a note inshore at cs that said they suspect fraud....I've now had an email from Philip clarkes office.

Basically, everyone is sorry, nothing was meant to be implied, they just want to track 'freak' items so they can nip it in the bud. Bla bla bla. Sorry again, hope they can restore my faith in tesco store. Thanks

Should I respond as I do believe that as the fraud word was used more than once, that they are trying to pull wool over my eyes. Big fat zero for me so far on this, not even a £10 give card:rotfl:

    For those that are interested, the email also states that;
Please be assured that the customer promise we make is that where we make an error in overcharging, we will refund double the difference. The manager will be reminding his team of the simplicity of this promise to prevent similar misunderstandings.

Dtd good to go at this store tinysteps:rotfl:

Managerbwill take app. Action against staff member but I must advise thatbdetails are private matters...she's still off sick as far as I'm aware:T:T:T
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.
