I grabbed a Tesco Finest meal deal today as me dear ma wanted a veggie lasagne and I couldn't bear paying £5 for that and not grabbing a side, cheeseboard and bottle of red for £5 too ;)

Anyway, I noticed that Tesco Finest Fiano was amongst the wine choices for the meal deal. This used to compare with Asda Finest Fiano on the Price Check back in DTD days. Back at the ranch I found out that it's currently £6.99 at Mr T and £5 at Mr A. I know they closed the Turners Price Check hole on the meal deal, but I wondered if they did it properly (i.e. don't compare on any meal deal items) or whether they just made Turners NA.

If someone gets a meal deal inc. Fiano, could you run your receipt through the price checker and see if it compares? If so it'll be a Finest Meal Deal for £8.01 instead of a tenner ;)

with the current speed they check the receipts we could wait at least a week! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    a good idea anyway... ;)

Has this been mentioned, sorry havent got time to check.

Gillette Fusion Proglide razor plus 1 extra blade in pack. DH just bought 2 of them, SEL £3 but went through at £9.99 each. Went to CS, who went to check shelf, called manager who told them to refund £6.99 per pack. No sigh at CS about DTD so DH didnt ask about it. Can I take receipt back tomorrow or just leave it?

  • Had a small DTD today on a pack of crisps. They are the Cofresh Chilli potato snack 90g, like a hula hoop shape. SEL 33p, went through at 61p. Other flavours were also half price, but didn't get them so don't know if they go through correctly or not. They were with all the Indian foods on offer, big promotion on. While I was getting my DTD a woman in front on me had bought the children's game Elefun, yellow label said half price to £7.49, think she was charged full price - hope that helps someone :)

not sure where to put this question but..
i have read on here that you put reciepts into tesco online price check and they give you dtd if asda are cheaper , is this right ?
so, hows about if i had a look at Asdas offers , which would then be cheaper at the time than tesco , bought those specifically and price checked . i'd make money , yes ?

not worked my brain this hard in ages...steam coming out me ears lol

NO you would only get the difference back so might as well go to Asda. You get DTD if you are overcharged at the tills, for example if you buy something for £5 but the label on the shelf said it was £4, tesco should refund you £2.
