took two from shelf but one went through at £1.39 the other at 69p ??! the barcodes do differ but i don't know which was which.
anyway got dtd for the one that went through £1.39 so they paid me 1p to take away one of them as dtd was £1.40

There are a selection of ladies long-sleeved t-shirts in various colours and styles with '2 for £8' stickers on them. They were originally £6 each, but some have been marked down to £3. I bought a navy one with little buttons on the front (£6) and a lilac one with a little gathering over the bust (£3) = £9. I should have then received a £1 discount at the till, but this did not come off, so I was refunded £2 (DTD) at the customer service desk, so I was happy to have paid £7 for the two.

I know it's not a biggie, but useful to know if you are thinking of buying them anyway. I don't know if the discount would have been applied for buying two of the £6 ones as I didn't try this, but might be worth a go for someone.

Sassi - I don't think she knows which one was wrong as she says she's muddled them up.

Just been to the local Tesco but no Starbucks at all. However, in the Bakery section there were quite a few Puff Pastry Mince Pies available (packs of 4) - normally priced around £1.30p but reduced to 1p. Sadly I couldn't take any because I'm a vegetarian and the chap working there said they had non-vegetarian products in. They looked very nice though!

Had to point out at our local Tesco Express yesterday that advertising 2 bars of chocolate for £1.20 wasn't such a great deal when most of the items on offer were under 60p. Changed to 3 for £1.20 this morning.

Be careful with Tesco Products - some are being revamped to smaller quantities for the same price!
I recently bought some Anti-Limescale tablets (like Calgon) for my washer - they'd reduced the size from 22gms to 16 gms for the same price.

I'm sure they're doing this with other own brands - look for things like shrinking toilet rolls (take a cm off the width and they save a fortune!!) and weights in standard measures (like half litre 500ml) being sold as 450ml or even 400ml.
What a con! It's the pound shop for me from now on... :-(
