If you use Clonezilla, watch it very carefully. One of the underlying tools that it uses (partimage IIRC) has a bug in it that means that sometimes it will skip a partition, not backing it up, but not generating an error message either.
This happens with an XFS partition on my most heavily-used PC, and I can't find a way around the problem - other than using something else to back it up.0 -
