LOL! I always make crackers of any weird shapes - but I bought some pressie bags that were in the Tesco value range the other day - worth every penny!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I hate wrapping pressies - we share the joint present wrapping between us by I'm more organised about getting around to it than OH so I usually do my share first, do all the easy to wrap stuff, and leave him with the devilishly tricky stuff to do!
I know what you mean about the fries in fast food places KC - delicious aren't they, a true guilty pleasure! (Bombay mix would be another!)
Had a brilliant day out with Mum - seem to have managed to get quite a few bits for various people's christmas presents and only put one thing - a shirt for my Dad - on a card, rest was all cash. :A When we got back to mine for a well deserved cuppa I also remembered a top lurking in my charity bag which I thought ought to fit Mum - she took it back with her and has just texted me a photo of her wearing it and she looks absolutely brilliant in it! It was one I absolutely loved as well so I'm really pleased it's found a good new home!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hurrah - email from Tesco mobile recycling to say my phone has been received and the £6 airtime and 200 green CC points will be credited within the next few days! Need to then remember to transfer £6 in cash to the challenge savings.
CC vouchers for cadbury world turned up today too so we shall head there tomorrow and just hope we can get in! Fingers crossed for it being the sort of day that everyone else wants to be outdoors!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Glad you enjoyed your day out with mum..sounds like you had fun.

Alls looking good at your end.0 -
HI EH, what do you mean by CC vouchers? Do you mean Tesco clubcard vouchers?
I did a mini-storecupboard inventory. Not done freezer yet. Already finding stuff and thinking ooh that's a handy meal.
Got our electricity bill through today. First of all thought our bill was far worse than last time. Quick bit of grey matter made us realise that in fact it was now lower. To the tune of about £60 saving for the quarter. We pay a lot for electricity and so this is quite an achievement. Mainly through using more of the economy 7. Just need to ration time on here (can spend hours) and the electric fire. off to look at a wattson or owl electricity monitor.

we got our leccy bill today as well, and despite them owing us money and our consumption being half than in this quarter last year & us removing the worse offending storage heater they wanted to increase our DD again. they've kept it the same on the proviso that if we owe them money they will just increase it. I don't think so! i really hate these folk. I've explained again to OH that charging mobiles over night is the diff. between 30p per unit and 4p. Hopefully it will sink in and he'll help me remember to read them each week so we can monitor it even more.0

Ooh, what was Cadbury World like?2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Yes Mineallmine - clubcard deals vouchers can be used for all sorts of things - Cadbury World is one of them! Unfortunately we didn't get to go in the end as when we got there the next admission for non reserved tickets was so late in the day we'd have had to rush to get right round. We'll try again next year and the Clubcard deals vouchers won't go to waste as we can use those elsewhere.
Yes LT - leccy bill here as well. Still can't work out why they are not planning on taking their usual DD payment in December - it's annoying though as it means I'll not be able to claim back the credit balance as I was hoping. Anyone else with British Gas finding the same thing?
Good Food show was excellent once again - we came back well loaded with, among other useful things a fortnights supply of apples, three lots of butter (2 x Loseley and 1 x Wyke Farms) Four big blocks of mature cheddar cheese and a bag of grated cheese (Wyke Farms) and 8 Loseley yogurts. The least useful (but prettiest) thing we bought was a pair of multicoloured glass start shaped hanging tealight lanterns that will look just beautiful hanging on the balcony next summer, and we also got lots and lots of christmas present type bits. I got two new kitchen knives too - Kitchen Devils professional ones, got the pair for £7 so truly bargainous stuff there.
We did well on the budget - came away with some money left which has gone towards the christmas shopping we got today. Mum and dad in law's hamper is coming along well - we just need a last few bits for that now. OH's MSE training is obviously coming along well as it was him that spotted the pack of six different packs of posh biscuits and pointed out that it could be split up to add to different people's pressies. :rotfl:

Oh - forgot to say that among the Food Show bargains was tonights dinner....the Isle of Man Producers stall was selling off four packs of smoked salmon for £10 and we thought with christmas coming we'd treat ourselves......then the chap announced that he was putting in a free fish pie too....a single portion one! When he realised that OH and I were together he grinned and said we'd better have a second one as he didn't want us arguing over it!
We had them for tea this evening instead of the planned bolognese - that will now be eaten tomorrow instead! They were absolutely delicious too!

Wow EH great day at Good Food show then. And you've made a start on the Make up a month challenge too.
I made sarnies for work yesterday (think your enthusiasm is infectious EH). And when I went out with my friend for the day. Persmission to have a semi-smug feeling this morning.
