After reading this thread I gathered up old gold lying around, few small necklaces, wedding band from ex husband, broken chunky gold bracelet and sent it off to: hatton garden metals....https://www.hattongardenmetals.co.uk

Chose them as had good reviews on hot uk deals and on here.
Sent 4pm Thursday and chap phoned me 11am Friday to confirm price and weight....£365....couldn't believe it...I had a spare £365 lying around in me drawers....fab seeing as i just blown all my raindy day savings on a new-old car as my MPV failed its M.O.T and had to get rid.

Certainly be scouring carboots now for any gold...lol!

I have read good reports about www.goldbuyers.co.uk. They pay £6.50 per gram for 9 carat, more for 14, 18 and 22carat. I think they pay by cheque and turn around is very quick.

Only 3 companies pay the highest rate to the Public.HGM, Lois and Manchester Gold Company.As for the rest, forget it!!!

I found these people untrustworthy as I sent in Gold and surprise surprise my Gold was the carat they quoted for or something like that. Then they started to quote more money for my gold when I refused there initial offers. A much better company that I have found is topdogscrapgold. They are up front about their commission charges but they do pay a good hatton garden price and above all seem honset!!
