Yea, I think its based on Chrome, so probably just about as fast, or maybe faster! I suppose both it and Chrome are very basic in their design, without all the add-ons and toolbars, so that'll make them much faster.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

The only thing that I dont like about iron is that chrome uses a sandboxie but every so often 'someone' will crack it and iron will be left wide open whilst chrome gets its update:idea:0

Safari and Chrome seem to be the two fastest browsers, each of them being faster at doing different things. They both share the same open-source rendering engine developed by Apple called WebKit, though the last I heard, Safari was using a slightly newer build of it.
I would say Safari is probably faster than Camino, though lots of people like Firefox, and lots like Camino's stripped down implementation of the Mozilla project. Camino is probably lagging behind Firefox at the minute though.
I used to use Firefox as Safari 3 was annoying me quite frequently. I love Safari 4 though, and haven't used Firefox since I downloaded it.0 -

If you're using Windows, I guess the most immediate difference would be that it now has a Windows look and feel. It's also faster than Safari 3.
Here's a list of its features:

I'm very impressed with it on my Mac so far.0
