Hey guys sorry was unable to access my account for a while (and didnt want to create a new one)!

    I've PM'd everyone back...

My sites are still going strong but they have dropped a little bit, not sure why, I put it down to the sites being less busier in the summer (not that we've had one), than the winter months.

A new site I started (but havent updated for months) has been doing ok-ish. Making about £2 a day. This is great considering I do no work on it.

Another site I started is picking up and doing around £150 a month, with about 4 hours a week work. 2l8yvjo.gif
Google adsense. (Had to blur out certain numbers as google requires this)

Ill try and go through the thread and answer anything unanswered.

These are healthy Google Adsense figures. You must be getting a lot of visitors to your site(s) in order to generate those amounts?

    Keep up the good work.

Very healthy figures. I get slightly more visitors and only make 25% of what you do.
  • Wow very good figures, I get about double/triple visitors wish I was getting double/triple your earnings :rotfl:

Out of curiosity, would anybody here read a blog about basic law aimed at the average man on the street? I've been thinking about starting such a blog for a while - I'm a law student at a redbrick uni and am considering blogging basically the stuff I learn in lectures each week, primarily as a way of helping me consolidate what I've learnt, for my own benefit. Although making money out of it wouldn't be bad too! :P

Would anybody read such a blog?
  • coming late into this topic - all very interesting! I'm blogging - so am interested in how to make money from it - maybe I should go back to the beginning of this thread?

Yep, very good. My main site gets around 500 uniques a day and my second site about a 100 uniques a day. Combined, I'm only getting about a fiver a month from Adsense.

How many banners do you generally have per page?

That said, I don't push the adsense a huge amount and rely on the ebay partner network mostly.

The main reason why I haven't used Adsense on any of my blogs or sites is that, I didn't want to distract any visitors from the relevant information on the each individual page, but this has certainly give me some food for thought.

    Well Done :)

I have about 2 banners per page. The site isnt rammed with ads just placed in key locations. I sometimes use a click heat map to see where people are clicking most and place ads near those locations.
