Can someone give me some advice?
I have a website on a subject of my interest, with a blog within; have been running it alongside a Twitter for 2/3 years, with around 25,000 monthly hits and just under 20,000 followers.
I had Google Adsense on it, but they suspected fraudulent activity (or something along those lines) months ago and disabled the ads (I lost the protest too, and am still unsure as to what the issue actually was).
Literally have no income from this now but would really like to have! It takes up a huge amount of my time, but it's a bit frustrating that I have no idea how to make some kind of income!
The site is built with webs.
Thanks in advance x0 -
For people using Blogger, please be advised that you technically do not own the content you write, which means Blogger/Google has the write to you use your content for promotions etc.
Also, do not forget to back up your blog post frequently. You can do this via Settings > Export blog (I think) which gives you the option to download as a backup XML file. You can then load this file into another Blogger blog and your posts are reloaded.0 -

Any chance you can give us a clue what your blog is about?
For example, monetising a blog full of people looking for money advice is much easier than monetising a fanblog about child actor Denise Nickerson0 -
It's a celebrity/entertainment site

Hi I am thinking of writing a novel on a blog. Has anyone else done this and is it a good idea?
ThanksMortgage £105,0000 -

Thanks
I'd look at Amazon. They have widgets that you can put into your template that change depending on the content, good for music/books/films and also some links from your text to specific products.
I would also look at the fashion aspect and link to the brand/outfit the person is mentioning if possible.
You could also look at dating/fitness programmes if it's the right angle.0 -
This is exactly the information I need. Thank you so much.0

There's lots of alternatives to Adsense, like Adbrite0 -

It's rare to hear of ANYONE making good money with Amazon unless they have hundred of thousands of hits on their site. Play.com might be better if you're targeting UK readers. You can sign up to the Play affiliate program through Affiliate Window.0
