If you don't have your own images. Look for royalty free images or free stock images on google? You may have to put a little text next to the image stating that it is free courtesy of X website or something though?

    Hi there,

I'm new to blogging and was just wondering about adding images. Where do you add them from? Google images for instance?

I dont have my own pictures of everything I talk about and I think my blog would benefit from a piccy or two, but dont want to steal other people's stuff, especially if there may be copyright issues.

    I'd appreciate your comments

    Thanks in advance

I build some of my websites with Yola, and their silver subscription includes decent stock photography. I make the rest of the images myself using Photoshop - diagrams etc

My first vouchers from BzzAgent have arrived so as soon as I have sampled the goodies, I will write a review and put it on to my blog. To increase readers I have linked my BzzAgent account to my blog and my Twitter account so that people will hopefully find it that way.

I'd still like to know the names of companies that do the sponsored reviews as whilst I'm building up on it this way I can research the companies to decide which one is the best for me.

Until I decided which type of products I want to focus on I will review anything and everything and see which ones get the most reads and/or comments.

    All help is appreciated.

    Thanks

The majority of companies with a web presence and/or rankings in the search engines will do sponsored reviews, you'd probably struggle to find one who wouldn't.

Whether they will pay YOU to do one is a completely different matter and depends on what you can offer them.

    Hi amandaf

Good to hear from a fellow blogger as you don't normally get much of this information on the MSE forum.

What you say about engaging with other fellow bloggers and leaving the URL signature in your posts is quite true and the setting up an free account with Blogger or Wordpress is straightforward.

I've been in IM for about two years and blogging for just over a year and only use free tools like Wordpress and the Google keyword tool for product reasearch. I mainly promote products through the Amazon UK affiliate program and write the blogs myself 300+ words with the targeted keywords. This has worked well and I have enjoyed a steady income over the past few months, as about 60% of the products I've promoted are on page one of Google for their relevant keywords and that creates highly targeted traffic.

Not everyone likes to write articles for their own product review blog as it can be a bit tedious. The way round that is to hire decent writers from places like fiverr.com, where you can get a good 300-400 word article for $5 and that saves on your own time.

Some people seem to have the idea that you need a paid blog or get some Adsense campaign to help monetize it and that is certainly not the case. There is serious money out their from blogging if you you find a hungry market. It will be highly targeted and you'll be getting lots of clicks and the most important thing sales.

    Hey Mark :)

Im so glad to see an IMer here as you said you dont see much of us on here haha. I think creativity around monetisation is key here such as creating information products like video courses or ebook or audio programmes.

    There is so m
uch that can be done with a website these days and it beats filling out blooming survey froms lol

I wanted to set up a few blogs but after reading through this thread I am more confused than ever. I don't know where to start and all the lingo is confusing the hell out of me.
