I know why Ewaf probably wont tell you his blog, especially if he has a good unique niche. If there was even one new competing site, it would cut his earnings down alot.

    Still not impressed, sorry.

Ofcourse I am not going to reveal my niches.

The site I mentioned previous in the thread is treacling in abit of money each month, nothing groundbreaking. I am abandoning it now and have moved on to new niches. I learnt alot about making money through micro niche sites, utilising different income streams such as adsense/amazon/CPA offers/clickbank etc. I am really getting stuck into internet marketing, and enjoy trying to find new niches and rank them at the top of google. Theres still so much to learn, it's all about trying to put a spin on things.

Those who are serious about making money through blogging need to realise that people don't care about your day to day life/ramblings/experiences. Sounds brutal, but its true. Start with mico niche's, prehaps about something you enjoy, and add regular articles, say 500 published every friday (good for traffic), that focus on your targetted keyword. Eventually google will start crawling your content and hopefully you will climb the ranks. I am only lightly brushing over this.

I dont own this site but this is a good micro niche site:

    http://www.wintercoatsforwomen.org/

The ads blend in well and I wouldn't be surprised if the owner of this site is making £500 a month from this.

Like I said I am only touching lightly on this. If anyone has any questions about getting started fire away or PM.

Thats fine. But find a niche is a bit like finding a gold mine, youre not going to share with everyone. The best way to start is start a niche you have an interest in. Then expand from there on.

    Hello Ewaf,
Is that really right? Possibly around £500 a month? I've had a good look and it doesn't really tell you anything new at all. Would that site really get a lot of traffic? I am bewildered....

Yes I agree with you. This is my First post on here, and I have just set up my own blog with my partner. We have not had it a week yet and have had over 450 visits, I'm so excited. I have had a look at your blog, and I have joined it, as I could sit and read yours every day. :j

Its very possible. But that site is more of a mini site than a blog.

    Hello Rachel,
I am incredibly impressed by the number of site visits you have had so soon. That is really amazing-it took me about 6 weeks to get that many views!
Thank you for having a look at mine and thanks for the positive comments. I'm glad that it's just not me that doesn't 'get' the coat site.........

The coat site is basically a mini site. It gets its traffic from google searches. There will be alot of people searching for winter coats now.

You will on the right on side there is adverts and above the main content. its all designed for people to click. I can guarantee that site has a high CTR (click through rate).

    Any more questions, ask away!

Glad Bigbase knows what I mean.

The content on the site isn't amazing, but its got great onsite SEO. Just read the front page, and how many times "winter coats for women" is mentioned. This is the keyword they are targetting. Now go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal . On the left unclick "broad" and tick "Exact", type in "winter coats for women" and click search. 12,000 global monthly searches, and 4,400 UK searches. At the time the person made that site, there was probably low competition, hence why they targetted it because they knew they could rank it well.

The trick is finding a keyword with good monthly searches, and low competition, that you can rank in google easily and reap the rewards. This is where the money is at. Theres nothing wrong with blogging about your everyday life and opinions, but it's never going to make much money.

Any questions ask, I have only been seriously trying micro niche sites like the winter coats one for a few months and got alot to learn.
