Blogging for a second income - does anyone else here do this?

I have a beauty blog that I've had going for a couple of years - I've dabbled with advertising and Twitter but never seriously, but this is something I'm looking into in a lot more detail now. When I was on Twitter, my followers certainly increased. I've signed up with Affiliate Window and am going to be doing a lot more active marketing, I'm blogging because I enjoy it but it would be nice to offset some of the costs associated with it with a bit of income.0

Is it even really possible to make serious cash? I know a few adverts can generate pennys but does anyone actually ever click them? I know i dont.0

Some people do I suppose - I've earned a bit from people clicking my Groupon advertising (which I was very half-cut about) and you can also link within your posts to a specific retailer or product, which all goes towards it. I'm rubbish at HTML so I use an automatic builder thing but this is something I want to get much better at!0 -

A bit confused as usual. Have recently set up a blog through Blogger-do I also need to buy a domain name in the same name as the blog name (there is one available). I have been looking on Bustaname, but payment/prices is in dollars-how do I pay?
Any help much appreciated as no doubt you have gathered I am new to this.0 -
I have a food/baking related blog (through blogger) and am currently getting around 3000-5000 page views per month.
I have adsense but it isn't very consistent, what other ways could I generate income?
Thanks0 -
How much does everyone earn a month approx being a blogger?0

Affiliate links - eg you can get around £6 per subscription to magazines (Olive, BBC Good Food etc) via the Magazine Group affiliate program on affiliatefuture , also amazon affiliate program - links to cookbooks, equipment etc, perhaps also selling ad space for a set amount per month if you can find interested advertisers?"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

I use to earn $650 a month from Adsense. Its now down to $250 after Google changed their algo. But the answer is hell yes you can make thousands while you sleep! But it takes a lot of work initially and you may fail a few times before you succeed just like anything else.0
