My first shop of May was today at £16.35 (£3 LV from PC used too). A bag of 7 packs of Hula Hoops is just 60p at Morrisons at the moment and there were lots of other multi-pack crisp deals.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

I'm setting £250 for May's grocery budget please.
I had my first Sainsbury's order delivered today and I was quite pleased with them - although no free delivery like Asda
Have started on my meal plans beginning 1st May and this will hopefully stop the unnecessary spendingThere is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
Did a wee shop (£18) in Lidl and then another (£9) in Coop, although thats us pretty much stocked up for a while. Managed to get reduced (half price) local mince and also cold meat, eggs and some hot x buns for the freezer.
Happy with that.
We actually run 15th-14th now (hubby pay day so I made my month coincide with his) and my food budget is bungled in with other stuff too now.
As I said before just hoping to be sensible and not waste money or throw anything away unless I really have to!
Still meal planning although not so good at posting on MSE anymore! (Busy with DS and other stuff too!)

Hi all
Just a quick post to ask to be put down for £225 for May please. Have not finished for total April yet but have taken my eye off the ball somewhat so need to keep on track. Last week we went out for a overnight stay/theatre/meal & even though the hotel room was only £9, & we already had the theatre tickets the cost of the dinner & breakfast was terrifying :eek::eek:. And there was food left over after the meal - no I wasn't the person putting l/o chicken in my bag, honest
We are off to bonnie Scotland for the w/end on Friday, taking pack up for the journey & a few things to eat whilst there, staying sc. We will be in Edinburgh so any advice on MSE places to eat/drink/shop from locals would be more than welcome:T TIA & apolgies if this is in the wrong place, I'm excited:j:j:jNew start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . I shall be doing my first shop of the month on Tuesday, May 5th.0 -
Evening everyone
Reporting in with my first spend of May -5 days in, so not too bad
Got hubby to pick up on his way home from golf :-- 2kg apples -€1.49
- 2.5kg potatoes 99c
- 2kg onions 99c
- 3x1lt fresh milk @ 55c
We have just had HM tortilla wraps with gyros, caramalised onions, peppers and mushrooms served with salad and tzatziki nomnomnom
I have some extra milk that wants using in the next day or two -so Im going to make a few batches of tortilla dough for the freezer.... We love them and they are much easier to roll out once the dough has been frozen and defrosted.
Hope everyone is getting off to a good start... off to update signature-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
