Kenco Rappor is nice for the price.
Spent £3.58 at the local shop as I hadn't anything I could prepare quickly for all of us. I need to get more organised! :mad:A penny saved is a penny earned.

ooh just noticed all those helpful links at the beginning of the thread. My month budget is due to start on 1st of May. So for the first time in ages I'm going to try and work out a menu plan for the month...well at least for a couple of weeks to start with-it should be so much easier with the recipe links-thanks for thatGE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hello folks
Not been here since posting April target, & budget's gone down the pan again! MrsM - please will you put me down for £450 for May - & will attempt to keep within?! Thanks.
We are me, DH, DS2 (17) & DS3 (almost 2), & bean #5 due October - need to get on top of expenditure BEFORE new arrival! Got quite a lot in freezers/pantry, plus have borrowed mum's breadmaker, so hoping the first couple of weeks in May will be fairly inexpensive. Just had a load of rubharb (sp?) & got an old dustbin to cover roots to get a 2nd crop, so a couple of free puds this month, plus loads of brambles in freezer, mint growing outside, spuds growing, too, got other seeds to plant (some were free) for salads/veg etc for later in the summer - even saving just a few quid here & there might help - spending's got rather out of control again!July 2024 GC £0.00/£400

ooh shiny new thread, been keeping up but not posting, can I declare April at £98.58 - bit over - but no panic, can I be put down for £42 for May as I'm going away for just over 2 weeks as of Friday, thanks to keeping track of my spends I saved some money up and after a few ups and downs this year when my mate in Oz sent me an invite for her 30th, I had a look online and was able to get a really good deal (I had to pay more in taxes than the flight ) so I'm off to see her and be there for her birthday - she's chuffed to bits.:j0

A new thread, a new start for me, and a chance to finally get under budget. Although I've got my hen party costs to factor into my main shops this month, I'm hoping to get everything as reasonably as possible so I can still come under budget
Here's hoping I can make this
Best of luck everyone
