    Hi wackyjacobeany

Your brother will need to instruct a solicitor to do the divorce as a child and property is involved.

If the house was in joint names (as they usually are) then the absent wife is jointly liable for the debt and your brother should make sure the mortgage people are aware of this and they will trace her.

I would not be suprised if her family do know her whereabouts and just don't want to be involved in the conflict.

One way of getting her to respond would be for your brother to make a claim to the CSA as he has care of the child.

    Good luck to your family.
  • Hi there all well I have managed to find the ignore button as Amber suggested. So at least I think i might be able to concentrate on the problem in hand.

Yes the CSA know where she is because she is paying minimum maintenance money.

There is no house involved as it has already been possessed.

I really would like to give you all the details on this but unfortunately I cant because I am trying to protect my broher and strange as it seems my sister in law as well.

I am sure as I can be her family dont know where she is as the police interviewed them a few months ago and they didnt know where she was.
Also we had problems with child and told her family that we needed to contact the mother but again there was nothing.

You all seem to be giving me so much good advice we really appreciate this

    Thanks
