I was not suggesting they would cancel the existing purchases, but more updated it for future purchases. Has anyone else managed to use this voucher today on electricals?
Thanks0 -

Make sure you are a new customer (which appears to be the only stipulation on their T&C's)
This is available at Marshall Ward too0 -
Hi guys, i had a bit of a different experience here! I tried to put an orer through for a camera and it said the code was not accepted, so i went onto littlewoods direct and tried it through them aswell for the same response.
I was going through quidco aswell to get the extra 8%, so tried without it and still wouldn't work. Phoned the customer services on additions to say it wasn't working and she agreed that the online code was simply not working, but the offer still stands, even on electrical it seems. So i ordered over the phone (foregoing the extra 8% quidco unfortunately).
However, she said that i would have to pay the full price at this point then call when i recieve the goods to confirm and request the discount at which point it would be credited back. She added a note to my account to confirm it was agreed and insisted there would be absolutely no problem getting the discount back.
All sounded a little dodgy to me, i've heard of some customer service horror stories from littlewoods/additions before. Is this really common procedure??!0 -

Thanks
I wouldn't be surprised at anything with this company having had previous experience with their shopping group! - lets hope this code is good and they don't start charge backs (from the T&C's it appears all in order so fingers crossed)
My colleague ordered a Wii this morning and theres a lot of electrical purchases from Hot deals members today if the site is anything to go by.
Was the electrical item you placed in your basket over 500 pounds? - did it actually apply the code to your account?
Not sure what to suggest
Are you able to open an account with Marshall ward, littlewoods direct etc... or have you ordered from all of them before?0 -

As far as I'm aware they charge you the full amount and then credit back the discount prior to despatch/delivery (it states this on their website) so sort of though you shouldn't have to call to have the discount applied.
Previous experience with this group has proved a bit of a gamble in the past but the main problem has been people using targetted codes without permission (this code isn't targetted but applies to new customers only) so I think most people are hoping this will be OK0 -

Thanks for this, maybe not as odd as it sounded then! I'll just have to see how it all works out! Thank OP, fingers crossed it works!0 -
It won't work for me either. I've set up a new credit account, trying to buy a laptop costing £350, and it just says 'Sorry. This promotion cannot be applied to your order.'0

I've ordered a DS Lite this morning, and the code worked, and have received a confirmation e-mail, however, this line on the e-mail does concern me a bit-All orders are subject to stock availability and meeting our terms and conditions
If they try and turn around now and say that Electrical goods were not part of the deal I'm going to have it out with them, as there was absolutely nothing in the T&C's saying that electricals were excluded.2009 Wins.

Hi,
I am new to posting but been watching for a while. This was a great post as I have been looking for a wii console and wii fit deal.
I went on line and the code given in their T & C's would not submit at the checkout so I called the CS. She said it might be as I was trying to pay bty credit card so while i was on the line to her i opened up an account. She then put a note on my account that when I receive the console I am to call them back and they will apply the discount to my account thus reducing the balance before I have to pay for it. Sounds good as long as it works. PS i have her name and i went in via quidco too so another 8% off.
Upshot ........... Wii console and Wii fit for under £154.
