    Same offer applies at littlewoods Direct - with same code.

    Not sure how this would apply across the different catalogues if you used more than one as they all operate under the same company ultimately (although the maximum £500 discount will be enough for most!!).

    I think there are other companies as well - Marshall Ward, etc. but haven't checked.

    Might be worth checking between the companies as prices do vary considerably.

    Sony KDL37V4000U

    Littlewoods - £829
    Additions - £699 (now £490!!)

    ^The next cheapest is at rgbdirect for 499.99 and free delivery
    So not that much of a saving...I think you should compare prices with other places as some of their things are overpriced whereas some are not.

    Most of their laptops have sold out. Hmm I wonder if additions have done this or they really are sold out

  • Just tried to put some orders through but apparently the offer doesnt apply to electricals according to their customer services. Shame!

    Hmm, interesting, as others do seem to have got Wii's, Tom Tom's etc.

    T&Cs online say:

    GET 30% OFF YOUR FIRST ORDER*

    QUOTE CODE XXXXX AT THE CHECKOUT WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER.

    Terms & Conditions:

    *This discount is available to new customers only and may be used once to obtain 30% discount on your first order. The percentage discount will apply to goods bought up to a maximum value of £500. Offer ends 30th April 2009. We reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time

    Returned goods, financial services products and delivery charges will not count towards the value of the order and this offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or promotional offer.

    Promotional codes are codes that enable customers to obtain benefits such as discounts, free delivery and free gifts. These codes are non-transferable so may only be used by the person to whom they are issued and must only be used in accordance with their terms and conditions of use. If you use a promotional code to claim a promotional benefit, you must first check that it was issued to you and that you are eligible to use it. By using it to claim a promotional benefit you will be confirming that:-

    (i) you are entitled to use the code;
    (ii) you meet all the conditions that apply to its use;
    (iii) you agree to the terms set out below.
    If, before accepting your order, we find that you are not entitled to use the code or do not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reject your order or alternatively process it without the promotional benefit being applied. If, after accepting your order, we find that you were not entitled to use the code or did not meet all the terms and conditions of its use, we may reverse the benefit that you obtained. If you transacted on a cash basis e.g. by debit or credit card, we may take a further payment, equivalent to the value of the benefit obtained, from the card used. If you transacted on a credit basis, the value of the benefit obtained may be charged to your credit account.

    Might be worth trying to order online?
  • It is strange, originally I could get the discount code to accept, but once I had done my research and decided what I wanted to buy it then wouldnt accept it. I thought it might have been the Quidco cookie, but removing that made no difference. I have just phoned them again and they have confirmed it is web only, and only Non Electricals. I wonder if they have just changed this having noticed the surge in purchases?Maybe you could try putting another one through (don't confirm the order) and see if it allows you to enter the code?

    Very Bizarre!
    Thanks
  • thanks op, i need sopme new furniture for kids so will check it out although i was very naughty with a 25 off no min spend code the other day and now im scared they will be onto me:eek::rotfl:

    This code went on hot deals yesterday morning and the site has been buzzing ever since with people ordering laptops and other electricals so if Littlewoods are saying the discount doesn't apply to electricals there's going to be carnage! :eek:

    I ordered a dsi yesterday morning about 10am and additions have despatched it apparently but it still hasn't tracked through my Quidco account so incase anybody's wondering apparently this company takes ages to track.

    Good luck everyone!
