Which PAYG?
Got the contract expiring next month and I want to go on PAYG for a while..
so basically just need advice on what PAYG is the best (will be making only around 20 mins of calls a month)
- it shouldnt have a minimum monthly top-up (should be able to sustain the original credit for a long period!)
- it should be able to accept my PAC number from Orange
- it shouldnt have oodles of hidden charges (easymobile!), and should be able to divert to other numbers.
any ideas?

I'm not sure about the diverting to other numbers, but virgin mobile seems good. You can set up to pay by direct debit so that you just get billed for your monthly usage. You don't have to worry about topping up or running out of credit.
std call charges are 15p for 1st 5 mins of the day, then 5p/min after that. Calls to other networks are more expensive though (think it is 35p/min)0 -
Tesco Mobile, standard tariff? You can buy a 30-day call bundle, 25 minutes for £2.50 http://www.tescomobile.com/tariff.aspx - again though, not sure about diverting to other numbers.0

Fresh mobile from Carphone Warehouse is good value. Calls are 15p/min any network, any time. Texts are 5p. There is no minimum top-up to get these flat rates either. You are only required to use your phone at least once every 90 days.

You can port your existing number to Fresh, but I don't know about diverting.0 -
call divert you will have to pay for the time of the call. Also you will not be able to divert a PAYG number. You can divert a pay monthly to a PAYG but not vice versa. If i have helped, use the thanks button!0

Not strictly true. With Easy mobile you can divert

Although the original post did say Easymobile was not an option.0 -
https://www.easymobile.com/selfcare/servlet/Index. What hidden charges that aren't on their website btw?
Right now they have a 15 pound credit for 10 pounds offer and as someone's said 15p anytime any network & 5p texts. You can also choose a no you can remember. Only disadvantage I can see is online top up only. You have to use 5 pounds within 3 months or they charge you 75p. They say they are thinking of introducing ATM top up. Seems good offer as they use T Mobile coverage. The live chat to customer services wouldn't open but they answered the 0845 line fast.
Did I miss anything else in the small print?0 -
Anyone know how good Orange PAYGO are?
Thanks.0 -

Thanks.
Orange PAYG works out really expensive if you make cross-network calls which are 35p/min!0 -
Good thing about Orange PAYG is no expiry on the credit, and no admin fee if you don't make any calls throughout the year! All you need is to receive a call at least once every 180 days.
But I highly recommend Virgin PAYG because in addition to the above, the voicemail acess is free.0 -
I'm with easy mobile and other than the service charge if you dont spend £5 every 3 months then they charge for 75p
but 15p a minute and 5p a text you cant beat that price.
And as stated above you get £5 free for joing with £10 and you can get £10back through quidco and you can get an extra £10 if recommended by a friend.0
