Not including food/groceries I have about £415 per month but I save at nearly £200 of that for my holiday, I am paying £76 per week for driving lessons but that it coming out of a savings account that I set up just for that purpose.0

£1,150.63 left after rent, bills for flat, mobile bill, gym & cinema. But my travel was paid for in one lump sum, otherwise that would be around £96 coming out each month.
It sounds like a lot, but as you know I am trying to save save save!!
Like Bargain Rzl, I would like to get a mortgage (after travelling) and on my salary I can get one for £102,000. However, repayments are about £650 a month, and with travel, bills, council tax etc, its scary to think that I will have hardly anything left over!!
However, thats a while off yet :0)
All of last year I was repaying £900 a month to clear my debt (with the help of a 2nd job), but I know I couldnt just spend all this money each month & have nothing to show for it. Anything above £50 a week is extravagent for me!! :0)0 -
I've just sorted out my budget as i get paid next week Friday. After bills and travel expenses, I will have £521.79 left over. I intend to bring lunch into work and to have two days a week when I won't spend a single penny.I've lost over 100lbs in two years, I can be debt free too.0

£300pm but that soon gets eaten up:
£66 – Train
£66 – Bus
£72 – Driving Lessons
£66 – Food
That comes to £270 which leaves me with a cool £30pm to play with! In other words a couple of weekend newspapers and a Starbucks or two! Life is great [and I'm debt free!!!]
PS: Am I the only person for whom having a car [plus tax, insurance etc] would almost work out CHEAPER than using bloody public transport???]

When rent and tuition fees are taken off I have £70 a week to live on. This is for 40 weeks of term time a year, in the summer its whatever I can earn! That £70 covers gas and electricity, food, petrol, going out etc and I am currently at a weekly average of £67 (in week 27 now) so under budget :j (all calculated on my excel spreadsheet). In last quarter of last year I spent more than I needed then discovered this site in full and am now spending about £20-£30 a week so hopefully my average will be a lot lower by July :j That budget doesn't include any part time work I do around my studies, all this goes to savings and currently stands at £1500 ish.Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003

I recently worked out my disposable income. By the end of this week I will have more money every month and I am totally embarrassed how much money I used to squander ever week on TOTAL KAK!!...without the thought of even saving any. Totally irresponsible...
Anyhow after bills etc I will have over £2k disposable and that still leaves me with £100 per week to live on and budget to, which I think is quite a lot considering I have been budgeting to max £60 per week which included petrol and daughters school lunches. Usually after filling up the car and paying for the lunches I wouldnt spend a penny until the following week.
I have no idea what I have been doing with my money, I really dont.MFWB
