I have but I can't seem to do anything right in my boss's mind.

What allowances are allowed for a single person?

I am fully aware of the bully boy tactics that go on working for a bank and if you've been treated like I have I'd rather spend ages looking for a job than being treated as someone who is worthless. I'm filly aware of how tough it is to find something these days but as I said if my OR is backing me then that's all that matters. It'll give me more time to find a job I want rather than getting a job because I have too. If you visit entitledto.co.uk you will find out your entitlements and your local council site will have the allowances for yourhousibg benefit. Spend the money youhave on your BR fees then the rest can get sorted asap. Looks like I'm useful after all!

yeah they will help you out. Housing benefit can be backdated if it takes a while to process and jsa can do the same too. I'm in the process sorting mine as resigned on Friday without notice. Best feeling in the world knowing I don't have to suffer from the bullys at work anymore.

Ok hope i can help a bit.

to get JSA you will need to show that either you lost your job, or had no choice but to leave.or they may not pay you anything.

You should get housing and council tax benefit regardless as its a different way of assessing. You will need to have bank statements, P45, and a benefits letter to prove your income from the date your claiming. You have the right to sign on even if they are not paying anything. Make sure you make your claim on the monday after your last day at work. If you have any documents showing the FSA rules etc then all good. - Be prepared to have to see CAB to help you claim if the JSA impose the rules.

your sticking point might be that as you were not yet declared bankrupt at the time you gave your notice and left work, so i suggest you pay your fees very quickly.
stop your payments to creditors and stock up on food, travel card etc to see you through. it is taking anything up to 6 weeks to get a JSA claim though right now.

as for how much a sngle persons entitlement is £65 per week for over 25's.

    I hope that helps

Sorry just looked at your SOA again - if you dont pay your DMP this month and next then you would have the fee's and some money to live on and asap get your BR date.

    good luck

How do you prove that you had no choice but to resign? All my discussions I had were obviously verbal ones and not written so I don't have anything that says I would have been sacked!

Be carefull that you can claim benefits or JSA if you are resigning as i think you cant.

You would better off sacked that way if asked the company would have to say why and it would make them look bad and not you?
