Morph3us - check out https://www.winvesting.co.uk. It's one of their seminars. Will report back tomorrow on how it went! Am not expecting a great deal, so maybe I will be pleasantly surprised. All it's costing is 2 hours of my time.

Sukey 13 - can I ask how you went about getting investor finance?

Through networking! It's amazing who you meet at property networking events.

As this is not my own website I am going to relist it. I am waiting to hear why it was deleted last time.

http://www.spnc.co.uk The Yeovil group I help to run. It costs nothing to come along. It is not a ruse to sign you up for anything. We don't sell anything. It is just a property networking group.

http://www.propertynetworkingclub.com/ Is another example of property networking clubs (mainly in London). Again this is not my website. So if someone removes this link I will be asking why again. I have no connection with this, but I have been to a recent Brighton one. You do have to pay to go to these to help cover the cost of the venue.

Just trying to help provide information to those who may be interested in making money through property.

Thank you Sukey. I have found your posts very helpful, and understand your frustration at having them edited/deleted. I gather that at one point yesterday the entire thread was deleted!

    Hi all,

I am really interested in this thread and about wealth creation in general although I have no ideas where to start. I will watch this thread with interest.

I have always thought that if a group of people all got together and all put in some money (1000 people all put in £100 etc) then they could buy a run down house for cash, do it up and all make a profit. Might be viable, a very good chance it will get shot down in here, but by putting it out into the open forum its there for discussion.

@ Sukey13 - the garage on stilts sounds interesting, do you have any pics? Also, what is a no money down property?!?

Photos of our garage are up on my blog.

Run down houses are almost impossible to buy. They are all bought up by builders and estate agents.

It certainly seems that way now! Since Property Ladder etc came on TV, every person and their dog seems to think they can buy a run down house for pennies, do it up and flog it on for big bucks!!

That has meant that the price of run down houses is now not much less than a similar house that isn't run down.

Well, I went to the investment seminar last night and it was useful in some ways - certainly confirmed my feeling that I'd like to get more involved in stock market investing as a way to wealth (but am also aware that it can be a way to losing a lot of money!). Manage to resist the pressure to sign up for the 3 day investment workshop - reduced from £3100  to £1970  for that night only...wasn't too hard really.

I have cancelled another of the free seminars that I'd signed up with, with The Wealth Company, as it will only be another sales pitch for their expensive 2 - 3 day courses. Not sure why I ever signed up in the first place.

The guy leading the seminar did recommend "Rich Dad Poor Dad" very highly and I keep hearing about this book, and in true MSE style have ordered it from the library - may end up buying it as there's a waiting list. Anyone got any comments on it?

Am intending to get to one of Sukey's property evenings in the near future, and will be checking out matched betting/Internet marketing in the near future as means of generating extra income streams. What are others doing ref wealth creation?

I've seen the 'Rich dad, poor dad' books in the shops (when I was looking for The Money Diet!) but not read it - I'll look out for a copy now.

I've not done anything postive about wealth creation, but I am still mulling over the idea of my website. I can see that registering a domain name won't be too expensive, but I have no idea of the amount of income that adverts/affiliate links might generate. (If I don't advertise the website, probably nothing!) I've seen a couple of books for sale on Amazon about using Adsense, but I'm not sure - I think maybe I'd want more control over the type of adverts that appeared on my site. Would anyone recommend a particular affiliate marketing company?

It really depends on what your website is about and where most of your visitors are from i.e. UK, USA or elsewhere, but https://www.tradedoubler.com is an affiliate network comapny that covers a lot of big companies that are in the UK.
For example Apple, Boots, Dominos, Game, Tescos.
Its free to register and the website should give you all the info/help you need.

Also Amazon.co.uk have an affiliate scheme which is also free to register on.

    Hope this helps.
Why do companies offer you "free gifts?"
Since when has a gift NOT been free?
