Blocking incoming premium texts ?

I received my tmobile monthly phone bill today and lo and behold a £1.50 third party charge


rang customer services who identified the text on my account and was told that they could not find a source for the 7 digital reference they had for that message
(she checked some register they have)

so tough I have to pay £1.50

was also advised to next time record the 5 digit source and that then to text stop



the annoying thing is you have to pay to stop it happening and that you never subscribed to a service in the first place



I wish I had not deleted the text now and had recorded the information

it had some message about logging onto a website and giving all sorts of details so that you could get free text messages (yes, I am not stupid enough to do this!)

my daughter (10years old) topped up £10 and on sunday her credit dropped to £1 so i phoned 02 to querie it and it was 3 x £3 junk messages recieved

Has your daughter donwloaded any 'free' ringtones or games? The scam depends on the downloader not reading the Terms & Conditions which say that by downloading the 'freebie' you agree to them sending you more, but at a cost, in the future...

Just a thought.
