Also here is the pic from the leaflet it came with - shows you what I mean about the sides of the card being red!

    The new design looks nicer.

    This looks nice as well.

I wish the Natwest Maestro/Solo cards could have the above designs a long time ago. Looks better.

Interesting.... credit searching you and your financial associates without your permission? maybe its just a generic idenity check. I too thought you didnt get credit checked for a step account

No way, Equifax puts it under "credit searches", not under "other searches", where I also have some identity checks.

If I had a current account, I could think they just credit searched me in order to upgrade my solo to a servicecard. But I have a Step Account....

Have you got the new card yet,........ Maybe they are thinking about upgrading your account? Did you originally apply for the current account and get offered the step or just apply for the step first?

I don't believe so. However, I applied for a Current Plus account on 28th July, received and returned paperwork but have heard nothing back from them.

No other accounts are on my online banking screen, but my Step and e-ISA, so I do not believe this credit check has anything to do with the July application as they already credit checked me back then.

Do you kown if when an application for a new account is successful the account number will be displayed along your other accounts on th eonline banking screen?

I believe I am writing and asking they remove those credit checks.

    LOL, and my address is.............

On another note, why is the account no. no longer printed on the cards. This has been an annoyance for me on a few occassions

For the bank to credit check you they may have been looking too offer you a full current account. You wouldnt get credit checked for you just to have a visa debit as its standard now with all current accounts.
