Sun still shining here and towels lovely and dry. Just had our roast lamb dinner and am sitting here watching all the runners at the Marathon and thinking 'never in a million years'. In awe of all those people who raise millions of pounds. Happy to contribute but couldn't run for toffee0 -

Afternoon all!
just back from my camping trip in the New Forest - I must say that part of the world must be very expensive to live in - I thought the bus driver was kidding when he told me the fare from ashurst to Lymington. I must have pitched right on top of a tasty bit of grass too as there were ponies chomping around my head and feet all night - oooh and i saw an adder too! Lovely butchers in Brockenhurst who was very nice about me buying one sausage one burger and one rasher of bacon.
Anyhoo back to earth with a bump - have had back to back cups of tea and will jump in the bath and unpack my rucsack before tackling all the back to work jobs
have good days allI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hello everyone
It's a fairly bright day and I'm about to go and cut the lawn. I am sooo jealous of grandmasam's garden - all that lovely space to play with while I just have a little north facing postage stamp sized patch to manage. Ah well....
Oh I don't believe it, the rain has literally just started - I should have got my booty in gear a bit sooner.
I've managed a trip out to to buy some petrol and to get a copy of the Mail on Sunday for the free Queen cd, and also to buy The Times as it's Rich List Sunday. As it happens I knew two people who were listed last year from the time I spent in London. Not that I normally rub shoulders with that sort of people, but it was through jobs I had in that past life. I'm not in touch with them now but I am salivating to see how much they [STRIKE]have lost[/STRIKE] are worth this year.
This weekend I have my occasional lodger staying. She's called Izzy and she's a little kitty cat and is totally gorgeous. She arrived last night and while she likes sitting on my knee and purring like a tractor she hasn't eaten anything. I'll try her with something else later on, but she's going home tomorrow anyway. I'm also intending to get all my photography gear out ie my studio equipment and do some "professional" photos of her to enlarge and frame as a surprise present for her owner's daughter who is Izzy mad. My photography gear hasn't seen the light of day for over a year now - I hope it's still working.
There's not a lot else to report, bye for now.

Afternoon All
Sitting here doing slicethepie  remember why I don't do it very often! Apparently I've earned 69p but I don't know how!
Spent all day searching for work, but no joy as yet. The hotel didn't come through with any hours for me today either:(
Breakfast today was cereal with farm fresh milk. No lunch but having roast farm rooster for dinner - got sis and BIL coming round.
Several loads done in the WM with everything drying on the line now.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Afternoon, everyone - hope you don't mind me joining in
I don't post often, but I lurk a lot and enjoy reading.
Today has been a nice relaxing day, and I think I've earnt a sit down and a cup of tea now - got the floor washed and the ironing done and put away, and walked to Mr T to get mushrooms for tonight's bolognese. I really fancy doing a roast dinner but the OH had planned to go out and I didn't know whether I'd have time - and so it goes. I want to do more stuff in the garden but it feels like it'll be a big effort and I don't get a lot of time to spend on it as it is. Must try to get some pots for tomatoes!
Tonight, I think I'm going to do a little cross-stitch and relax. I might try and do a bit of yoga if I can bring myself to flex that far! I've been trying really hard and find it does help me. The OH is in the garden at the moment, pruning, and it won't be long before I have to go and make tea. I don't mind though - hopefully it'll mean some extra for me for lunch tomorrow
Have a good rest of day everyone, and big (((hugs))) to everyone that needs one

Well the Sunday dinner at lunch time was a massive success :T We've all just has some homemade veggie soup & sandwiches for tea also. Plus I've had a sit down this afternoon when DH took the children to see DMIL.
Grandmasam Your garden sounds fab I, too, am soooo jealousI love mine but it's wider than it is long so I have planted very carefully to try to lengthen it IYSWIM? I was listening to the radio the other day they were talking about orchards. Apparently 5 apple trees in pots is classed as one so I might get one eventually :rotfl:
Donnygal - We took our trailer tent, the children and 2 dogs to a temporary holiday site at Friasthorpe with the Camping & Caravan Club a few years ago at the end of May. It was so lovely - the field where we camped was next to the beach. The children & dogs had a blast. Hope you enjoy your 1st trip of the season in your van :j0
