Hello, I'm an idiot!

I've just purchased a Nokia 6230i on the Tesco Mobile network.

I want to unlock it so I can use my Virgin Mobile sim in it.

Here's my IMEI: 358827000947881

...I've tried two codes already from a website but was unsuccessful. I've also heard that on the 6230i you need to actually put the sim in from the network you want to switch to. True or not?

Any help and you'll have my eternal love!

you only need to put a non tesco sim in to enter the unlock code - any sim will do and then it wil be unlocked to all networks all the time
