Oh no, hope you are better soon. Make sure you drink enough fluids as you will dehydrate easily, have you got any rehydration salts? Hope you are ok, if it carries on you might need to ring your GP to ask for advice and get checked out. Glad to hear you have a nice break coming up, that will be nice to see your friend and get away for a while.
On topic: I've got to be really frugal this week, we are seriously skint! So I doubt I will be adding to the pot much"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hi all,
Today, after a piece of good financial fortune (finding some money I had forgotten about in an online account I had not used for a while), and a bit of squirrelling away on my own account, I lost the will to keep filling up my pot and opened it. It was only a fairly small pot, and I had only be filling it with coppers and the occasional bit of whatever else came along, but there was £13.61 in it. I was pleased, even though it wasn't a massive amount as I would have just ended up spending the coppers on chocolate bars or something instead, so it's nice to be able to put it in my savings. As Tesco says 'every little helps'!Please call me 'Pickle'

I've decided to set myself a target of £40 for the month... Which is unrelated to my email signature. So far this month I've 'collected' £1.10 so I need to pull my finger out!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

Good luck with your targets.

M2MG, well done on getting your girls to be little MSE’ers! Hope you get some change before them tho! LOL. I will add your banked £6 to the first post, well done on that!
Inapickle, great news about the other account you’d forgotten about, that reminds me that I’ve got an ING account and have £5 going into it every month but I’ve no idea where the details are of how to access it! Must find them! And well done on squirreling away those coppers – when you get enough to bank let me know the amount and I’ll put it on the first post
Lesley and Pockets, well done on setting yourselves targets, that’s really good and I hope you reach them.
Focus, I totally understand about money being a struggle, we are in a similar position ourselves. As soon as it comes in, it’s gone again on a bill! Ouch
Well, I've not really had any change for ages, but I've not spent my weekly tenner so am going to put £5 in my loose change pot and £5 in my sealed pot as I'm going to be using the sealed pot money for my holiday at the end of Sept.
We are really struggling with money, DH is self-employed and he doesn't have a regular pay day so I never really know how much money is coming in which is making things hard. I thought last night that perhaps I should add up how much we usually pay out on rent/bills/food etc and see how much he needs to earn before we have extra to pay more than the minimum on our CC's. I think I will do that, if only to put my mind and rest and so I can see how we are getting on.
Hope you all have a good week xx
If any new friends would like to join us, please let me know.
It would be lovely to hear how everyone is getting on with this challenge so please post if you haven't for a while and well done to all our regular posters - you keep this thread alive!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hi everyone! Can I join? I'm already a member of the sealed pot challenge but I keep breaking into my pot to bank the contents and help things along. The target for banked cash this year was £100+ and I've currently banked just over £82 so I'm aiming for another £18+ (preferably more if possible!).ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0
