Morning all!
I have added £1.29 to my pot today and it is now full (only a little pot!) I think I will count it tonight and see how much I have got altogether and bank it tomorrow.
I have now got my 2 year old son addicted to saving as he now picks up any money he finds anywhere and puts it in his money box, this morning he found 3p on our front doorstep!!Total Debt [STRIKE]£36323[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] £19000 January 20160 -
Well done Mcjordi, Nuala and Focus with adding to your pots
Hope you enjoy your time off Lesley and feel better after having a break
Tinka, very excited to hear you are counting up your pot, let us know how much is in there! And well done on getting your little one saving! That’s great! He can be a MSEbaby!
I'm having a day at home today, doing housework. I really should go to the library and get a prescription too, but have til Thursday to do it, and am really not in the mood to go out today! So another day without adding to my pot. Sorry! You guys will just have to work harder to make up for me not doing anything!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hopefully you'll feel better for having the break. I hope you'll feel more like this :j. Keep us posted how you're getting on.
Well done Tinka, I'm a long way off filling my pot but I do have another €2 going in. I can't wait to count it!
Rosepink, it's great that you wanted to sort out repaying by yourselves but it's exactly people like you that deserve help so I'm glad you got it!Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Had to use some of the change from my pot towards our weekend away in London. It paid to top up my oyster card for the whole time, only took out the larger change (£1, 50p, 20p and 10p) still got a load of 5p,2p,1p in thereDebt Free Wannabe :hello: LBM: 23/01/08

Nuala, your comment is so sweet, thank you. I was really moved when I read it.
I've had to take £5 out of my pot cos a man came to the door selling dishcloths/teatowels etc. I felt really sorry for him. He was a really nice guy, really gentle and non pushy, he lost his job last year as a bricklayer and didn't want to go on the dole. As it's been raining all day, I decided a fiver wouldn't hurt us, would help him, and we needed some teatowels anyway!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

This is really easy to do and makes you feel like you are making a difference toward paying off your debts. It's amazing how quickly the change from shopping can build up and accumulate!
