I don't know what to say. They are so mean. What despicable lowlifes.
Cannot think of any comforting words as I feel so angry about how they help themselves and disregard your right to peace of mind.

Thanks folks - I know its no big deal, but I am a little angry, hacked off and fed up about the whole issue!! I hate the mentality of 'Ill have that' or 'Ill trash that' and I cant really understand it either. It makes life so much more of a struggle than it needs to be.0

it's the time and money you've spent on the plants that makes it so annoying isn't it? fancy coming back the cheeky !!!!!!!! It really annoys me that some folks can't be bothered to put effort into things but think it's fine to trash other peoples hard work.
Chin up, did you ask if anyone had any spare plants of Freecycle?:hello:

Really feel for you OP. I would be both raging mad and really upset. It's bad enough that us gardeners have slugs, blight, weevils and a hundred other pests and diseases to deal with without thieves and vandals adding to our problems.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
That is terrible. Coming back again. Did you have the CCTV camera on? or had you not fixed it up yet? I was just wonering if you got any evidence this time. I can see why you wouldn't want to bother any more. Very sorry to hear of your troubles.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

You have every right to be angry, I hate thieving low life scum who want everything for free
If they do some hard work and raise there own plants and yes you can do it in a backyard they too can have a wonderful cheap garden/patio etc without thieving someone's else's hard workforeign_correspondent wrote: »Thanks folks - I know its no big deal, but I am a little angry, hacked off and fed up about the whole issue!! I'm sad to hear of your misfortune, there are some really nasty and petty people out there. I have a few strawberry plants if you'd like them, I'd have to post them bare root though, and some rhubarb seedlings.foreign_correspondent wrote: » Went to my dad's today, he is a retired market gardener and he lets me use his greenhouse to grow a few bits and bobs. Someone went into it last night and stole about 150 strawberry plants, 4 fruit trees (all about six foot tall, including a nectarine), a few trays of onion seedlings, a pot of rhubarb and several pots with fruit bushes in (gooseberries, redcurrants etc)
I have scrimped and saved, buying seed on special offers, saving seed etc, to try and make it worthwhile, and someone has just taken god knows how many plants. My dad has been going in every day to water for me, and has nurtured the strawberry plants over the winter. The fruit trees were a gift from a friend.
This years attempt at moneysaving has been well and truly wrecked. The growbags I hunted for 'on offer' to put my strawberries in will now be mostly redundant. All that time, effort, thought and money, just taken by someone else without a thought or a care for who it belongs to.
Well, I hope they choke on their strawberries and I hope their plants get blight, the swines. Also, if you are in the north derbyshire area and see someone suddenly rigging out their allotment or garden with the above, or they try and flog you it, please do let me know!
A few years ago I hung baskets of fuschias all over the front of my house. They were in full bloom and every one of them was stolen:mad:~~~~~~~~~~~~Halifax, taking the Xtra since 1853:rolleyes:~~~~~~~~~~~~0 -

I think these thieves are slugs, blight & weevils - but maybe that is an insult to slugs, blights & weevils
I wonder if they know that it's an elderly man's house (local to him??) & that's why it's been targetted twice now.
FC, I hope you do have enough evidence to identify them & good luck with starting again, don't give up.0
