The word 'has' rather than 'knows' a guy.

I play on Farm Town not Farmville, I think they're different. OH hates Facebook and won't go near it, but spies on my profile when he's at his friends', and he said my farm was pathetic after all I'd done ws accept a sheep from someone or something I wasn't really playing. But after that I thought 'Right, I'll show you!' so I've been getting quite obsessed with my little farm :o

My makeup kit currently consists of 1. A MAC Russian Red lipgloss 2. No, there is no 2, I only own a lipgloss!

How on earth do you manage?

The body shop eyeliners look great though, I've read some fab reviews about them. If you're after good eyemakeup I'd nip to Asda - they're selling the new Rimmel London 'The Max' mascara for £4 and it's pretty darn lovely.

As you can tell, I've completely failed the 100day challenge :D Even on the clothes front now, I blacked out when I was in town and when I came around I was walking home clutching a DP bag. I honestly don't know how it got there!

I've seriously relaxed my budgets now (if you hadn't guessed!) I'm still putting £50 into my saver each week and bar the £50 float in my CA for monthly bills the other money is to spend at will. I know it isn't very MSE at all but as least I'm not having panic attacks!

Were you having panic attacks again? Thats a shame. NIM will tell you how stressed I get when we've been spending lots, I'm only calm when I know we've been sensible. But then I'm probably in a very different place to you mentally, where I look at piles of stuff and think 'well, that's another month I won't be able to get a house for'.

So girlies, my hairbrained scheme of the week. I am currently in the process of designing myself some leaflets to take around local farm shops and the like for my cakes, desserts, muffins etc. The idea is maybe some of them would like to stock them (I sell them to the shop for price A, they then can resell them for A + x% amount higher, whatever they choose), or that they would be willing to put some of my leaflets on their counter, and visiting people can take a leaflet and order things for upcoming events/parties (and pass them off as their own!). Planning to also make some samples to take around with the leaflet, as a bit of extra persuassion.

Grrr, you're all making me want to get In Style magazine now so I can get the eyeliners!

I'm still doing well on the No Clothes Challenge, I think it helps being stuck in the middle of nowhere and not having my lappy to 'just have a look' at clothes on an evening! I need to get some pink shoes for the Cocktail Party at the end of August and a Saloon Girl costume for OH's Cowboys & Indians party in September so I'm going to allow these as they are planned- but I don't intend to buy anything else!

Fair enough. Cant look at it at work though which is the only time I go on facebook these days.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Sounds like a good plan Birdie. I'm still sticking to mine too, but then it is only 11 days in so it's not requiring much willpower yet!

Dinah - that sounds like a good plan! I know it sounds a bit odd but try your local hairdressers too, the one I go to has a wall filled with adverts for things like that. Worth a try!
Ooh and did you go to see G-Force?? We're going tonight :D

We didn't in the end! My sister is on a really tight budget so we stayed at home drooling over Vogue and watching really bad E4 soaps. You'll have to tell me how it is! The dress is a floral print 'prom' dress with a square neck, been eyeing it for months and it was reduced again in the sales. Wearing it for my Uncles 50th birthday dinner next week - scouting for a new pair of heels as I only have black ones! I think I'll be able to steal a pair off my sister for the night though.

I think I'll get to that mentality at some point too Dinah, right now I'm thinking 'I'm young, no bills to worry about.. and those shoes are really nice' When me and OH start seriously looking to move out I'll cut back and start saving more. Until then, I think £50 is a pretty good chunk to put away?

I like the sound of your hairbrained scheme Dinah- although I need a sample before I support you fully, no point in saying go for it if your cakes are rubbish! ;)

I think I'll start to struggle with the challenge soon, my friend needs a dress for a wedding and I said I'd go with her to McArthur Glen in York- I can't resist a 'bargain', how will I cope?!

So long as you don't get into debt Cinny I don't really think you need to worry for a few years.

Hmmm actually Birdie, I might take you up on that suggestion of you trying them out. I am seriously concerned about the concept of having the business online too and sending things through the post, so I could send you a few samples, you can tell me if they arrive mushed up, and if they arrive decent, how they taste!
