With our cat it was caught very early, she had a special diet for the remaining of her life, other than that she led a perfectly normal and healthy life. Unfortunatly she passed away two years later but it was completely unrelated.

ETA come to think of it it may have been liver failure that she had, either way i hope your poor little kitty will be ok!

Oh your poor kitty! Hopefully she'll be OK once on the correct diet and medication, at least it has been caught early.

I've been so good and I went to the gym tonight... but I did have a slice (only a little one, about 1cm thick!) of chocolate arctic roll before I went, I blame OH for that! All in all not the best diet day, we had no bread so I had to buy lunch at work and it was lasagne, I felt like I had a brick in my stomach all afternoon, urgh! I did resist biscuits etc (bar the arctic roll!) though, so kind of OK... I have bought bread today (brown multi-grain stuff so healthy-ish) so I won't have another lunch disaster!

We thought we were going to lose or much loved puddy cat early last year, almost 18 months on and she's doing brilliantly..it's amazing how resiliant they can be when on the right medication and food.176.gif

Aw your poor cat Dinah, I hope it will be ok. Our cats are only a year and a half old and I'd be devastated. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him/her :o

Cinny, how do you get the dodgy hug?! It's not on my list of smilies..

I have had chicken, rice and veg for tea. So that's quite healthy. And my OH has bought me round some soup, bread, eggs and crumpets for the next few days so I should be ok!

Birdie, chocolate arctic roll sounds yum! I have no sweet stuff in the flat :( But it's probably for the best! :p

I don't think we have any sweet stuff here, which is good or I'd be tempted to hit it today. Terrible day at work and poor kitty, and I've still managed to resist a glass of wine. Did have half a bag of chocolate raisins at lunch though (52 cals, 0.9g of fat, probably a pretty good thing to use as my treat!), but burnt 270 cals on the cross trainer and did some weights.

Poor cat, hope that she responds to the new diet well.

I weighed myself this evening and was still 10 stone, same as this morning. How does that work lol? Slightly concerned the scales are broke. I am being rubbish so far anyway.

Right, talked myself into it! My measurements are:
    Bust: 34"
    Waist: 31 1/2"
    Hips: 37 1/2" (crikey!)
    And thigh: 22"

Still eating junk though, tum te tum  I've had a stressful few days, oreos were needed!

Zig - If you click on 'more' underneath all the smilies it brings up a new list, it's near the bottom.

I agree with TPA, cats are pretty fantastic animals, a simple change in diet can completely change them! I really hope she's okay.

Glad to see your Tesco CC still going down Cinny. Really proud of you for posting the measurements too, you're pretty similar to me tbh (although no idea if you're small or tall!). Except I still resemble boobzilla in comparision to everyone else in the chest department - was in the gym today running in front of those evil mirrors, and realise despite having a proper sports bra on, its doing !!!! all - not happy!

Really hoping the change of diet makes Pushka well again, shes such a good cat, so calm and friendly.

Have a very sore throat so went wild with a scoop of lemon sorbet... I'm trying to only drink water, but I hate it so not really drinking anything - not sure this is good!
