I am not sure, I went to JFK when I went but didn't know there was a problem with one!
I think that would be a good goal but i think you deserve to go either way. You are very good with your spends money (unlike me who just spent 30 quid on make up oops!) and so you deserve to spend money on a trip. It is amazing in new york as well!0 -
Yea i went to JFK aswell and wasnt aware of any safety issues!
To be honest i dont think you really need any excuse, you and NIM work hard to achieve what you have! Your doing really well with your deposit and all your extra money making, its not like your really extravagent people - and to be honest im pretty sure you would make the money back very quickly!!
I say go for it!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
We wouldn't really have to make it back to be honest, we put £250 a month aside for holidays anyway. A fair chunk of this goes on Ireland, but still we save at least £150 a month for other trips. That said, we only have £250 in there at the moment.... only 12 days until another £250 goes in though, could book the flights then..... :rolleyes:Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hello! That sounds like a good deal for NY Dinah, get it booked and treat yourself!
Wedding dress shopping was good yesterday, I ended up falling for a dress I almost didn't even try on because I was sure it wouldn't suit me but it is perfect! Really simple and light, it skimmed over my problem area and was really flattering (and I'm a little podgier than usual right now so it'll look even better once I've lost that pesky stone!), perfect for my beach wedding!
Now if only I was as skinny as that model...
I really think I'm not as 'Bridey' as I thought I would be, when I was trying on the bigger fancier dresses I didn't like them: too heavy, too constricting, too much! The only thing about the dress I love that is too much is the price tag- £845!!!! It isn't on the website of 'genuine fakes' that I was planning on using so I'm now on a quest to find this dress, or a close match, for as little as possible!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
It's stunning Birdie, I'm sure you'll look gorgeous in it.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That dress is gorgeous! Really like it and is perfect for a beach wedding.0

Oh that is totally gorgeous Birdie, really nice and simple but still absolutely stunning. When I tried on the big meringues too I was shocked at how heavy they were, so much fabric to be trailing around all day.
I reckon you'll be able to find it a bit cheaper x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Hi
Just wanted to say hello! I've read some of your thread(s) Dinah and wanted to say Congratulations! The timescale you've paid the debt off in is amazing. Well done!
I started reading hoping to get some ideas and inspiration and I definitely have. I'm going to get my moneysaving hat back on this afternoon and make/save some more money. Thankyou! *Whispers* - I might also book myself a flight to Ireland to find myself a NIM, as your OH sounds like a star too!
