Iceland is supposed to be amazing! I just got my new credit card (0% for 15 months purchases - money talk, woo!) to book flights for South Africa with, but I can't quite bring myself to part with the cash just yet  I know it will be the trip of a lifetime, but still...
Shame that your crystals didn't sell for loads, Lara - I think ebay is pretty hit or miss! On other day they could have sold for twice that or not at all...
Tete, I can't believe that you're going away again so soon! Lucky thinghope you have time to apply for the new job - sounds interesting! And it's always nice to think that your degree is relevant! How long have you been in your current one?
Has anyone else got any nice plans for the weekend? I feel that we can legitimately start looking forward to it now it's Thursday night! I'm sooo tired! Luckily my OH is working away from home 4 nights a week for a while - obviously I miss him buckets, but I think I'd have been rubbish company these last few nights. I've just sat on the sofa slightly zoned out in front of the TV xLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
I start looking forward to the weekend on the Sunday evening before! I feel as though I'm on holidays now even tho I have to go to a meeting in the morning, am sooo tempted to not turn up and pretend I was ill but am far too much of a goody-two-shoes for that! Have been in this job 2 and a half years now Poddle (scary), are you still enjoying the new job? Ooh and did you know about the BA sale - don't know if they fly to SA or what but might be worth checking out? I dont think it's on long.

Unfortunatly not no. Spending the weekend working and then any other spare time i will be doing some more packing. Only 2 weeks until we move and theres so much to do!!
Still not quite getting the hang of this getting rid of junk system :rotfl: and OH is even worse. He has got 6 footballs in the living room - he doesnt even play football as he has really bad knees since an injury he got while playing about 4 years ago.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Only exciting plan for the weekend is going to see neyo saturday night at the o2. Going to be a nightmare getting there though as jubilee line will be closed.
Just been for a couple of cocktails and popped into someones leaving do and managed to get a drink off one of the managers at work. My manager was very drunk and telling me what a good job I am doing haha, always good to geta compliment even if he was drunk.0 -
hey everyone!! I passed my exams!! woop woop!! and I think I got an average of 77% for the year which is good because it is worth 20% of my final grade I think!!
:D
I'm not up to too much this weekend, had a heavy week with the bfs grad and the ball but I am going to kent randomly tomorrow!! Cinny - any tips?! Its all a bit sudden to be honest but hey, (we were going to have a NT day today but might do it in Kent now..)
Was a bit spendy yesterday and the few days before, need to work out how to pay off my CC (my first bill came last week lol) but i did get paid today and I think my P38 student tax form thing has all gone through (they owe me £100 though!!)
I have to go and madly pack up the bfs room, its a state and we have to be out of here in less than 3 hours!!! eeeeek!0 -
Congrats on passing the exams! Even though CCs build your credit rating I'd say 90% of people getting them say they'll pay them off in full each month, then when the bill arrives money tends to have been absorbed by other things and it becomes 'well one more month won't really matter', and then it starts to build, really really scary! I'm no better, exactly the way my debt started. But anyone being lured by new 'free' money needs to be really, really careful, cos paying lots of it back is horrible!
Only managed to get 1 listing done on ebay last night somehow - things sort of got away from me! NIM did remind me though that all the books in the shed we had agreed to give to charity when we got debt free, so we need to sort those out soon too.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Well done on passing your exams Tink! I'm sending you a 'woo' and a 'hoo'!!!!
Feeling a little fragile this morning; went out with OH's family for a random meal last night and had a little too much wine! And my phone keeps ringing which really is no good as I'm in no state to be helpful today!
I'm excited about going dress-trying-on tomorrow! It looks like it's just my Mum and me though, OH's Mum is working, my friend is busy with her school summer fair and SIL hasn't let me know if she's coming or not! Will be nice to have some time with my Mum though, haven't gone out with just her for ages- I may get presents too (fingers crossed! I'm practicing my pouty 'I really want it but can't afford it but isn't it so pretty' face in case!)Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Morning
Well done on the exams Tink - what a brilliant score!
I have set up my CC to be paid off in full every month by direct debit, think its good for me as I don't overspend.
How exciting about the dress trying on Birdie. Will be nice with your mum I am sure.0 -
Woop woop Tink - Well Done!
Aww Birdie, it sounds really exciting. I had a bit too much wine last night too, at a friend's. Feeling a bit grotty. Out and about in town today picking up props for a photoshoot of our products on Tues. Antique silversmithing tools anyone? Not sure where I am going to find some.....!

Just sent an email to try to get a stand at a Christmas craft fair for my paintings, bit scary. Also considering the Living North fair, much, much bigger, however it's £210 for a stand.... I think I'd make it back as that's only one painting I would need to sell, but its a big outlay. If anyone knows of any craft or christmas fairs in the North East or North Yorkshire please yell!
