Meh, some people are just rubbish at romance. I am one of those people! For our first Valentine's Day OH had bought me a silver bangle and got it engraved, typical me picks out the grammatical error on the engraving which changed the meaning of the message and laughed at it, OH looked crushed and I felt really bad! We still giggle about it now though and he's learnt that I'm just useless!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Birdie, that's the kind of thing I'd do! I get really fussy about grammar and spelling - partly cuz of uni/teacher training, they're really strict on it!
What did the engraving say? You'd think they check it's right before engraving it! Sweet of your OH for trying though!

Well it's a bit lame... when we were first going out I started to joke that he was a limpet because he would cuddle me to death when I was trying to sleep so a silly nickname developed. When he went to get the bracelet engraved he told the woman he wanted it to say Love, Limpet. It actually says Love Limpet so now his nickname has changed to Love Limpet! Luckily the engraving is on the inside so people don't see it or we'd be getting odd looks!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
