With a 2.4 Ghz it should be WAY faster than that. Sounds to me like your either infected or you have a serious hardware issue or something running in the background:idea:0 -

Agreed, something not quite right.
My Athlon XP2400 (2.0Ghz) and 736mb of SDRAM took about 1min 21secs.
The above was using XPHome.
Just tried the Linux version,using Mint, same machine, dual booting and result was 85secs.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

SuperPi - 23.365 s
PiFast - 1.91 s
