    thanks

Get what you pay for. If it works and does what most routers do then I still think this is a bargain.

Like another user said, its only 11mb/s across the LAN so if your planning on transfering lots of data within your LAN then its gona be major slow compaired with a newer model that can handle 54mb/s.

But if the router is for WAN access only then unless your on a service thats faster than 11mb/s your not gonna see any lack of performance.

That router offers 128bit WEP security which isnt as good as newer models again but with a good key it will make your network secure.

I've got the d-link DI-604 for my blueyonder service, its tiny, it was major cheap and I've not had a problem with it. The netgears do look much better and the http GUI are better/easier to use.

    Get a linksys, deffo!!

They are the consumer arm of Cisco and definetely make great products.

For what it's worth, I bought a new Netgear wireless router/ access point recently and sent it back after a coule of days as the coverage in my castle :D was appaling. Put in my old (slower, yes) Linksys and it works.

it's an old slow model, and the other one you are looking at is a refurb, and not much cheaper than a new one..
