I had one already, and I opened my second online. Had to call for the Vantage "upgrade" though0

yes(0800) 015 4000 is the account application line.
I just opened one account. The system wouldn't allow opening a second account on the same day.
You are assigned an account number straight away. The new account should be activated and appear online on the following day. The system updates at/after 10pm.Dagobert0 -
yesThis related to setting up the accounts online where there was no option to say you didn't want a cheque book and card0

thers is an option on line to upgrade to the free version you just need to find it0

yesMust have missed it - but I did look very hard after your initial post. Anyway - 10 mins in the bank doing it the old fashioned way got my 6 accounts sorted without any problems. (The one I did try and set-up on line never materialised, although it told me it had been set up, 'cos I'd missed specifying my nationality. They set me a letter 5 days later.)0

Went into a branch but was only allowed to open one further account - manager was consulted by the staff member dealing with my request (I had asked for 7 accounts).
So rang up the new accounts number and was told only one per day as per Dagobert.
Just as an aside, don't you think we should let this thread slide into oblivion before Lloyds decide to close this loophole down? I am only commenting myself because the thread is on the first page anyway, after it spent a few days quietly drifting out of sight and out of mind.0
