That may be the way you are interpreting this but I can assure you I have 7 and could have had more if I had wanted. I converted 3 existing classic accounts on line. Opened another on the telephone and the bank manager opened the other 3 after I asked him to.

So presumably you have 7 cheque books, debit cards and paying in books?

No you can opt for no cheque books or cards so I just use one account.

Just opened another classic one online - unfortunately no options re cheque book and debit card, damn!
Looks like a trip to see nice Mr bank manger. (Have never seen a bank manger in 40 years of banking until recently, but have to say it was very nice to deal with a pleasant & sensible being after all these years of webspeak and call centres)

Now been to see Mr Bank manager - definitely have as many accounts as you as you like (I opened 6) and you can set up a SO to transfer £1000 through all the accounts. All transfers can take place on the same day.

You mean SO to transfer £1K in from one of the other current accounts?

£1000 - 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 1

Confirmed with the bank manager who even offered to set up the SO's for me
