good evening everyone!!! well am i glad its friday, its been the longest week and i havent achieved very much. just getting to grips with my new life as a wannabe MSE,

    Today i:

-Got paid, managed to stay away from the town and clothes shopping, bad habit of mine!!!
-wrote a bget plan and already stressing out that i wont have any left by next week
-paid catalogue bill, will check tomorrow if its been added to my account to see if its cleared the account, if so will write letter to cancel account, then one less debt to think about or tempt me into spending!!!!!
    -posted ebay items sold.

    having 3 dilemas:

    1) how do i say no to going out this weekend?? I could do with productiveness, need to declutter, list lots and get myself sorted for a new routine for a mse to make money and clear debt. its only going to cost me for dinner but thats dinner too much?? oh i dont know. I dont want to be a let down.
    2) ive got a nice phone which i dont really use to its full capacity, i am looking to buy a cheaper phone and sell this one. My husband says i am crazy and i am only doing it to make money.... i think its a wise move...
    3) ive found some old jewellery, some which is broken (silver and gold) dont want to throw but dont know what to do, any ideas?

daily clicks - going ok i think however i dont seem to be having lots approved. i suppose it will take time though.

    have good evening!!!

    Hi

Have a look at this thread about selling old gold: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1213323&highlight=selling+gold

The price of gold is really high at the moment!

    Good luck

    Hi All

Didn't have time to check in today. Not had a chance to do much MSE/DFW tasks today but thought I'd pop and say hi.

Looks like you all had a productive day.

OK quick questoin - I know some of you take forgein students

Been asked to have a french forgein exchange student for 3 months - she has to go on placement for this time as part of her degree

No money in dept here to pay her etc she's coming voluntarily.

Question is - if its part of a course - do her uni pay for her accomodation? Our dept has no money - and I was just asked if I can have her

We do have a spare room since logder doger didnt show up so thats not the issue

Do the french uni give them expenses? Anyone know?

Its not me who is dealing with it - but will see if I can get more information.

She might be coming through the Erasmus scheme, in which case she will get an Erasmus grant, which her home University will give to her. I would definitely check this though. If she is doing the placement unpaid she is in all likelyhood getting a grant of some discription. In any case I don't think you'll be expected to give her free accommodation, but she'll probably need it to be cheap as the grants don't tend to be huge.
