    Hi all :)

Yesterday was not a bad day at all. Handed in first draft the dreaded mini-thesis - 50% over page limit but, as it's only worth about 2.5% of my overall degree, my lecturer says it won't get marked down for it.

Successfully managed a NSD yesterday (2 in a row!). There was quite a pleasant surprise at my volunteer group last night. We normally rent out a local primary school and organise a games and activity night for the members. Instead the lady who runs the group had arranged for some beauticians to come along and "pamper" everyone. There was also a chocolate fondue set with fresh strawberries to dip in it... Divine :A Best bit was, I got assigned to washing up at the end of night, and I may have eaten most of the chocolate from the plastic dipping tubs rather than just throw it away. Waste not, want not :p

Anyway, back on topic. Today I have/will:
    • do my daily clicks and free scratchcards (20p + 10p + free 50p login bonus)
    • decided to gamble my 10p TAB win on a cheap game of bingo. Alas, didn't win.
    • renew my library book
    • buy black trousers for work
    • iron work clothes for tomorrow
    • call phone banking and move some money
    • call bank to activate new card
    • surveys
    • Try to eat a bit healthier today than I have for the rest of the week:o
Hope everyone has a good day! x

    Morning All :hello:
Still feeling a bit tender from being ill yesterday, so have decided not to go to the funeral this afternoon :( but as there is a memorial service on Saturday I hope I won't be missed. I just don't think I can cope with a long drive to an unfamiliar place. :o (but it means I save all that petrol :o)

Had a good result yesterday, they mended our boiler under warranty - even though we're pretty sure that is is out of warranty. Apparently this was a known problem with this model and we were lucky to get this far without that bit failing earlier :D

    So today I have/will:
    • scratch'n'click
    • potter in the garden this evening nurturing my seedlings :D
    • brought in packed lunch
    • not drive anywhere and save fuel :o
    • look for more mystery shop assignments.
    • washing done at 30 and now being line dried
    Short and sweet today :p
Have a great day everybody

  • OK quick questoin - I know some of you take forgein students

Been asked to have a french forgein exchange student for 3 months - she has to go on placement for this time as part of her degree

No money in dept here to pay her etc she's coming voluntarily.

Question is - if its part of a course - do her uni pay for her accomodation? Our dept has no money - and I was just asked if I can have her

We do have a spare room since logder doger didnt show up so thats not the issue

Do the french uni give them expenses? Anyone know?

Its not me who is dealing with it - but will see if I can get more information.

  • Hi all!

I've spent too much today already :( Its payday and I have a friends birthday party tonight so I had to get a gift (£20) and accessories to go with my dress, which was a bargain off ebay. My list is:

    * Go on to internet banking and pay all my bills etc
    * Update my spreadsheet
    * Try and sort out car insurance, although not sure if I'll have time to do this today
    * NOT go out for lunch with the girls as I've already spent £77 on our food shop for the week

Think thats all.... off to make something homemade for me and my DD for lunch! :)

    Morning All,

Where has this morning gone – can’t believe it is already 12:00!

I am so bored at the moment, but not motivated to do anything help!

So, not more fussing around as I have loads to do:

    • Will avoid the twirl bars in the fridge and doughnuts on the side (might put them in the bread bin and shut the door) :o
    • Looked for jobs (nothing out there!)
    • Will put clingfilm over the seeds I planted yesterday (mainly salad leaves) :D
    • Will sow more seeds :D
    • Will talk to the seedlings to encourage them to grow (see, I am going mad) :D:eek::D
    • Will do college work (need to do this, but cant get motivated) :o:o
    • Meeting a friend when she finishes work and we are going for a walk, I will take a bottle of water with me to stop me spending. :j
    • We should be ending up in town, so will look in the library for jobs in the local paper and get a lift home with hubby (he is at the gym tonight)
    • Try not to spend any more money :o

A bit of good news though, got pulled up by the gym receptionist who asked Mums age. Because she is of a certain age, we have changed her membership to a senior. So, instead of paying £80 per month for 2 memberships, I pay £62! :j

I know that people will shoot me down for having a membership, but it covers every activity and I do not drink/smoke/go out/have a life :o

    Take care everyone,
    Candy
