Do you hate your gums!!????How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
SparkyG wrote:Believe me, I know. I work for trading standards:p BUT it is the only stuff that will whiten our teeth. Our regulations on cosmetic bleach are outdated as they were designed for facial bleach and not dental bleach. They are in place to stop the illegal sale of facial bleach which has been used in the past by Asians and black people to attain whiter skin which was seen to be 'desirable'.

That's very interesting Sparky.
The stuff we use is technically illegal too. There keeps being promises of a change in regulations, but it never appears.
In some areas, Trading Standards have been instructed to clamp down on dentists doing bleaching.
What is the word on this from the inside??How to find a dentist.

At the moment Trading Standards are trying to ignore the problem, but if a patient put in a complaint that they had been 'damaged' by high strength bleach supplied by a dentist, then that may provoke an investigation:eek:
Lets hope that doesn't happen to you or to my lovely dentist!;) . The regulations are very outdated, so here's to change soon...

Hi. For those who want to whiten your teeth for free in just 3 days there is a new product on the market. They are offering their new 3 day whitening kit for free until the end of the month. You just have to pay the S&H. Still cheap in my opinion. This site sells the same kits on e-bay for $70. They also have over 1000+ feedbacks. This is a very trusted website.
I tried the product and it worked! It took me 5 days to get the results I wanted. I have badly discolored teeth so it took longer than the 3 days. They also have some sort of contest and if they use your before and after shots on there website they will pay you $100 for the rights.
I give it 2 thumbs up. This was the best freebie I ever had!

With the application technique used, the gel never makes any contact with the gums. I had no sensitivity as well. If they included mouth trays, this would causer the gel to spread onto the gums. This would irritated them.0 -
