I know that T-Mobile and Orange are usually locked but not sure about 3. If you bought your last phone from CPW it may already be unlocked. Did it come in a branded box or an ordinary box with whatever the make of the phone was on it?
I take it you don't have another sim card to try?
What is your other phone?0 -
I've got the box here - it's a 3 box.
Yes, I have got a few sim cards - I will try them - I've got an 02, a Tmobile and a virgin - think they were ones I ordered in the past but have never used them. I will try them.
Otherwise is it best to get the e616 changed so I can use the sim card that comes with a new phone I buy - and I can then sell the new phone but keep the sim card.
Thanks for all the help by the way :O)All credit cards paid off.

Likely to be locked then. You may have a local market that can unlock it for about £10Yes, I have got a few sim cards - I will try them - I've got an 02, a Tmobile and a virgin - think they were ones I ordered in the past but have never used them. I will try them.

It may be but try a local market first or do a google search for unlocking that handset. Thanks for all the help by the way :O)

Tried all the sim cards - nothing.
Excellent - so I can keep my brick lol - get a top of the range phone, get the brick unlocked and then use the new sim card in the old phone and sell the new phone. Plus, get cashback - possibly £15 and send my phone bills back every few months for a refund?
Sounds too good to be true! All credit cards paid off.
