Went to the Birmingham store today as needed to go to the city - they only have engineers there on Mon- Fri now. SA said there have been a lot if C905s in for repair this week he wondered if there had been a faulty batch.
I shall take the phone to the nearer branch tomorrow who have said to expect it to take 2-3 days.
Am so glad I kept my previous handset a W810i as means Ive got a phone whilst this one is fixed.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Took an complaint to Sony's escalations department to actually get my C905 fixed, sent it to the repair center three times and it was sent back not repaired, but with a letter stating it had been. Phone was three months old when the screen completely went on it.
Thank god I'd kept my W910i. I've rarely heard a good word said about the W910i, but mine has been rock solid since the day I got it, far more reliable than my C905. That said, when the C905 is working, it's a fantastic phone.Sigless0 -

I feel exactly the same, have the C902 and W910i, w910, never had a problem. C902 has a speakerphone issue sometimes - but I have dropped the phone probally weekly since I got it back in June XD~*Cerenia*~

Have dropped it off for repair today, SA said It maybe ready tomorrow, he said if it has the same problem again Il be able to talk to the manager about a new replacement, said some customers had after a long discussion managed to get a new one or an alternative handset of the same value.
I have said Im happy with the C905 if they can fix it!!
SA said the problem with the c key freezing was more unusual said the speaker phone is causing many problems - at the mo they only have C905's with faulty speaker phone in the repiar place!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

I have only had mine for 3/4 days and its already went haywire, i turned it on to be greeted by a message asking me to insert the correct sim card and then when i put the charger in it said please use correct sony ericsson battery? i done a restore to default and the phone started back up but in a totally different language, which i then couldnt get it to change. After 10 mins i gave up because it kept turning on and turning off again, its very tempremental (spelling?) i previously had a w910i and i had alot of problems but with a software update, this problem did appear to be fixed, i cant even get this phone to stay on long enough to try this option, and somehow i seem to have gone from a fully charged battery to half empty? my off key wasnt working as well it had a habbit of sticking, all this for only having a phone for 3 days? rediculous! i phoned t-mobile and he without question offered me a new one, or a completely new model, its due to come on monday, but i sit here wondering, should i just have taken the option of a different phone while i had it, because if this new one fails, my only option is then repair.
i'm 4 days into an 18 month contract, i can tell this is not going to be a fun 18 months with a phone thats full of faults.

Get a different model imho.0 -
personally i think sony ericssons' reliability has gone down the pan since they introduced the new software platform (starting with the k850). the older software platform was much better imo0

IPODCHICK - the very same thing has happened to me but I've never used SE before. I absolutley loved the phone. Tried to ring T-Mob but they have closed for the evening. Luckily I'm in my 7 day cooling of period so I think I may either try the G1 or Nokia 5800. I know they are quite different models but I'm a little nervous to go for the same phone again.
Anyone got any recommendations??0
