Just tried switching the PC on to get the graphics card details. It's only got to the sign-on screen and then started playing up again.
Hubby thinks that the graphics card is an ATI one, but we don't have a clue as to the model.
The PC is an evesham one.
He's pretty convinced that it's the graphics card as the screen time is getting shorter and shorter. He remembers that when the last graphics card was fitted, the engineer showed him the blown one - it had a small fan incorporated into the card and the fan had actually melted.
I'm just a bit shy of going to pc world and spending £160 on another graphics card and it not solving the problem.sassybird0 -

open the Pc up
http://www.build-your-own-computer-tips.com/open-a-computer-case.html
you should be able to see the graphics card inside and remove it....and then see what model it is
has the Evesham Pc got a sticker on it with the model number or the rang of Evesham Pc ??
no point in spending too much money...beter off to get "like for like" which I suspect will only cost you about £30
something like this
