Do you remember that day when !!!!!!? 'outted' you as being one of my sockpuppets? He ranted on and on about how I'd created you to support myself in winding him up. Then I pointed out that you joined MSE a couple of years before me and I'd need a TARDIS for you to be my socky. Oh how we laughed :rotfl:

this forum was/is his life unfortunately for him.

someone mentioned the other day that he still does his daily bits of doom and gloom by Private Messages to his old crew to keep them up to speed with the oncoming armageddon.

it's a shame that he went away

    Why? Has he gone away?

it's a bit odd to continue to log on with his !!!!!! logon just to send PM's and not to post. I understood him ditching his !!!!!! logon because it had become a bit of a liability, especially with all the advice/warnings he gave out, that were subsequently proven to be wrong but on the other hand, if you make mistakes you should be man enough to stand up and admit them. I think he would have gotten an easier ride if he had done that.

I (like stevej) do think he's still here with a new username, which again is a bit odd. He used to make such a fuss about people deleting posts and using other usernames, and said that people should 'stand by what they post', so it's very hypocritical for him to have made a couple of mistakes (his hyper inflation one stands out in my mind) and to totally ditch his established username and start again.

Let's face it, with all the flack I get on my DD user, it'd be the easiest thing to just dump him and start again, but I actually do think people should stand by what they post, and so here I am still using DD despite the hassles. :)

Mass immigration is a universal good – and anyone who disagrees is a Nazi racialist.
People with the opinions below – are Nazi racialists
    1. 81% of people agree that the Government should substantially reduce immigration levels to Britain.
    2. 60% of Asians believe that there are too many immigrants in Britain.
    3. 77% agree that you cannot criticise the amount of immigration, or individual immigrants, without being labelled a racist.
    4. 85% agree that immigration is putting too much pressure on public services.
    5. 45% of the Black respondents felt that there was too much immigration into Britain.
    6. 76% of people agree that Britain is overcrowded.
    7. 62% of people think that Britain will soon lose its unique identity if immigration continues as it is.
    8. 76% think that there is, a fair amount (52%) or a great deal (24%), of tension between races and nationalities.

    1. YouGov, November 2007
    2. BBC Asian Network poll April 2005
    3. Populus for the BBC March 2008
    4. YouGov, November 2007
    5. MORI, January 2007, cited in “Our Shared Future”, Commission on Integration and Cohesion, 14 June 2007, para. 2.42
    6. YouGov, January 2007
    7. ORB, November 2007
    8. MORI Poll for BBC April 2008

Ve have vays of making you conform!

    Joking apart,
Unfortunately, looking at the world around me, I have to conclude that people with differing outlooks often don’t get on, cultures do clash, often with dire consequences and those who think that mixing everyone up and applying a bit of “Diversity” training will right the wrongs of the nationalistic past are playing a very dangerous game.
I sincerely hope I am wrong on this, but the history of the Kosovo region of Serbia over the last 400 years since large numbers of Islamic Albanians arrived is just one of the many examples that indicate I am not.
There has been mayhem since the oppressive controls of the USSR were lifted and the differences of cultures within it allowed to surface. I neither wish for such suppressive controls to be required here, nor for the chaos that would result without them. So forgive me if I seem lukewarm and have apprehension about any envisaged “multi-cultural” utopia that the current levels of immigration will bring.
If those always crying “racist” had not spent so much of their time debating with a likeminded click in a virtual world on an internet website and had got out into the real world questioning often decent people (as polled above) as to why they have differing views to themselves, they may have gained a greater understanding and been better able to ignore the, often infantile, posts of those who wish to wind them up. As it is they are left a little “irate” in their own virtual world.
That reminds me, spring has arrived and I ought to get out more!

Nice to be back on thread again.
Having been involved in local politics at the tender age of 13, I am only too aware of "sockpuppet" campaigns in the letters column of the local paper.
    It was planned in advance.
    A will write this letter.
B will counter with this letter in the second week.
C will come back with truly powerful polemic in week 3 and bingo that proves the whole borough really cares about the mayor's twinning campaign with some Commie Frog town..
It is just political spin and has probably gone on for 100's of years, ever since moot points were allowed to be nailed on the church door.
Unfortunately in the electronic age it is all too easy and degrades the value of reasoned argument backed with facts.
It also makes the thread very boring.

Huh? What are you on about man? Do I need to defend my posting history to you?

I've been a member for 6 months and started posting three months ago when i arrived back in the UK. I found the site when I was deciding to take a job back here or not.

Since i have started posting, I average probably ten posts a day, maybe more. I also post in the pensions area, because - frankly - my only reason for coming to the forum originally was to search for information on the UK pensions system, having been away for so long.

Frankly, high octane debates about the best Sky package, or cheap broadband deals leaves me cold.

But, of course, it is possible to just log on and read, isnt it? Because I have a job to do in the daytime too.

You need to get out more. You see conspiracy all around you.

we're not discussing racism, we're discussing why you keep creating posts that insinuate that I have multiple IDs. You have tried to sidestep the question, but I have manfully brought you back onto my topic. As I was saying... why do you do that? As I said, I understand why dervish and !!!!!!? and others would, but I can't recall us ever having a crossed word - though perhaps you know different?

What else is going on in this odious thread is neither here nor there, and in fact, taking it off topic wouldn't be such a bad thing really.

You have nearly managed to get the ratio of mentioning my name to the number of your posts close to 1:1.

You seem obsessed with me...

I think the likes of dervish, topov and ultra are invaluable members. They are of course, odious bigots but bizarrely they are also perhaps the three least articulate and intelligent people on the forum, refusing to deal with issues and reverting instead to barking their nonsense as if it's the reasoned truth.
    .

A bigot is a person who is intolerant of or takes offence to the opinions, lifestyles or identities differing from his or her own.
    THIS WORKS BOTH WAYS
    Read back your post.
There should not be a view suppressed, the majority i would say if they had a referendum or a vote would stop immigration as the culture and identity of Britain has changed so much. And please remember every race has their own standard of Right and Wrong. Some races might think chopping a childs hand of is ok because they stole a loaf of bread or women murdered beause they want to make thier own desions. Or shooting someone because they dissed them. Or eating dogs & cats
Remember that is what they will bring to this country as that is their culture but im sure you dont mind. But i do and there is nothing wrong in you deciding who you let into your home/country.
