Blimey, how many safe countries are there between here and Africa? They must like walking. I thought we signed an agreement that specified "asylum seekers should go to the nearest safe country," not move continents!
Anyhow, where was the asylum for our grandparents when they were called up to the front line? They had to run at machine guns, supposedly, for our security! If their countries are that crap why can't they fight for them like we had to? We deserve a decent safe country after our grandparents efforts. To fill it with Muslims is a betrayal of that effort. Did they not notice the partition of India and the upheaval that caused? If they were rejected in their own country what made the powers that be think everything would be hunky dory if they moved here!

Firstly Muslims have nothing to do with this. Youve gone from race to religion. My great grandfather fought in that war. For the British. He was Indian. He was muslim. He was killed. He in essence gave his life up fighting for this country, in a war that had nothing to do with him.

Would you have my family deported? My grandparents, my parents have worked all their lives in this country, long hours in factories and jobs others wouldnt do, and theyve paid taxes. I work and I pay taxes. Just because im from a pakistani heritage or that im muslim doesnt make me not British.

Just for the record do you see the so called 'indigenous' people of this country workng in McDonalds cleaning toilets? Because I certainly dont. Although I agree with the problem of immigration, the fact remains they work hard, get paid crap and do work that you wouldnt even consider doing.

The generations you refer to were entirely different to todays generation, almost everybody worked long hard hours, and took whatever job was available, regardless of how menial the work was, and there was a stigma attatched to being unemployed, so to infer that only immigrants worked long hard hours is a bit of an insult to my parents, and grandparents generations.

I think you may need to re-read what I just wrote. Show me where it says "immigrants worked harder than your parents, and grandparents generations". I was not saying that, neither was I implying that. My point was theyve worked just as hard and did it do nothing for the economy? or did they not fight for this country? as was the other posters point. Yes the generations were different but what about now? Who does all the crap jobs now?

I dont think the poster did indeed insult your parents , gandparents generation.1st gen immigrants did and still do take the worst jobs , there is plenty of support for that fact...ie picking in fields even today the brit just wouldnt do up to now , but with less jobs it becomes a deeply considered option.

Up til the 50s there wasnt a benefits system to recieve on unemployment , it wasnt merely a matter of stigma , but no work no roof over your head and your children were left hungry.I agree that the benefits system needs change , and perhaps relocation to areas where work can be found....think of it as intermigration.

My grandparents were 2nd gen irish , their parents did take the worst jobs going. So it wasnt a matter of race or religion imo regarding the immigrant worker , and yes the irish have suffered too and just as badly as any immigrant.Ironically a few generation later and I see bigots in my family complain about immigrants taking jobs they wouldnt or coudlnt do....yes they read the tabloids.

If you see a poster paying a point about how an immigrant worked hard then died for our country as an insult to your relatives then its pretty worrying.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

    My problem was this statement.

My grandparents, my parents have worked all their lives in this country, long hours in factories and jobs others wouldnt do

Another Example of PC madness, Two Chrisitians Beat up a Muslim, becasue they "Thought" ...(Wrongly as it turned out) he had "firebombed" there Church !! ..Obviously if this HAD been the Story you would have heard "Racism" thrown about like confetti & a Custodial sentance would have followed along with media Hysteria..
There are DOZENS of examples like this, but you are not likely to hear about them because ...well...you know why ... read the report & make up your own mind..
P.S to all the defenders of this kind of Bias, perhaps if the victim had been you or a close family member, you might just have a differant opinion....But thats the joys of "Enrichment" for you ..

Don't you think this is an example of a far too lenient justice system, rather than an example of 'pc madness'? Take out the references to the one religion mentioned (you added the Christian bit to make it look more of a 'them and us' story; at no point was it mentioned that the guy beaten up was a Christian) and you bascially have two nutters beating up a poor, innocent chap and a judge who is out of touch with type of sentences that the public want to see handed out.

This should have been charged as vigilantism , which carries a stiffer penalty its not the court that set the charges.

I think the sentence was weak unless it was a first offence and or the victim wasnt exactly a innocent bystander ie racist or preemptor.Without knowing the entire case history of all parties , the judge would know , I would find it weak sentencing and subject to appeal by the crown office regardless of any perceived bias.

If any judge was shown to be light because or for a bent becuase of religion then he would be removed....just like any bnp judges.

They did. It's a pity you don't bother to read a little history. The largest volunteer army the world has ever seen was raised in the Indian subcontinent during WWII. An army of 1.5 MILLION volunteers (Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims) volunteered to put their lives in harm's way on the side of the country that, for the previous 150 years, had subjected their populations to empirical slavery. When was the last time you volunteered to risk your life for them?
i am sure there were very few volunteers though. most of them would have fought for the salary/ due to 'slavery'. or they were made to fight.
