My statement was entirely correct. I supported it with statistics. My statement was a description of the law. If you don't like that, frankly I don't care very much.

So do you stand by the opinion that all asylum seekers return home when it is safe to do so?

Immigration to Account for a New Household Every 6 Minutes
    March 13, 2009

    Government projections
issued this week confirm that net immigration is now the largest single influence on household formation in England, accounting for very nearly 4 in 10 new households (39%).

The projections show that, over the 25 years from 2006 to 2031, immigration will account for an extra 99,000 households a year - or one every six minutes. This means an extra 2.5 million households by the end of the period out of a total of 6.3 million new households, or nearly 40%. These households would not be formed if immigration was in balance with emigration.

Paints a different picture to the one you show.

Government projections.:o I wouldn't read to deeply into their figures. As i would say they are very Deflated figures as.They don't even know the amount of asylum seekers/immigrants in the country

I stand by my opinion that it is the law that asylumn seekers should return home when it is safe to do so. And that very large numbers of them are deported every quarter.

As many as nine out of ten failed asylum seekers are being allowed to stay in Britain despite having no right to remain, a report from a Government watchdog reveals today

    Daily Mail Jan 23rd 2009

Do these figures support your opinion?

As many as 10 million eskimos have danced on the moon. I gave you the latest official statistics. I don't really care what the daily mail has written on this.

  • Asylum seekers should return home when it is safe to do so, and illegal immigrants should be deported. But those who have children born here should stay due to their connection to Britain, Britain is getting to congested with people as is, and pollution/crime/population/race attacks, Works both ways folks will increase. A plain fact not fiction. BNP's standing as a political party is just laughable they have to many bully boys and Extreme views which will put off British voters they are not as polished as the Tory's and labour in pulling in the votes.

So are you saying that an illegal immigrant should be allowed to stay, simply because he gets somebody pregnant?

I'm sorry, I don't understand. When I was volunteering for the citizens advice bureau, we were taught that the key test is the right to reside. Your OH is an EU national (as a british citizen). and has a right to reside in the UK. This right also gives you a parasitic right to reside in the UK, as a spouse.

Non-EU spouses have no automatic right to reside in the UK. In fact they have no automatic right of entry at all. They have to apply for an entry clearance visa or certificate. If granted they are allowed to reside in the UK for two years after which they have to apply for permanent leave to remain which involves taking exams which demonstrate a knowledge of 'language and life' in the UK.
