DWP online assessment for Higher executive role

DH applied for 4 of these roles. First the addy to send applications to rejected all his emails so he had to call the next day and wait while they fixed it ....then he only got 3 tests to do, but they didn't have any ref numbers so he has no idea which one is missing. Then he got an email late last week saying he didn't do the test...but again it didn't say which one so we don't know if it's the one he didn't do or if it's one of the 3 he did do . He has replied but received no answer yet :rolleyes::rolleyes:0

Hi
are you aware of the new online test that has to be completed (by following links given by DWP JCP and using login password) for Executive Officer role. Are they competency choice questions or are they like numeracy and literacy tests, is it timed and is it hard?. I applied for EO position with DWP JCP recently and, on the advert it says to expect an online test (via email link)that will take 1 hour to complete. Is this the same online test for Higher Executive role? Many thanks in advance for any info.0 -

I just wanted to know if it was those tests that the other posters had done so I could offer advice. I think they are normally used for SEO and Grade 7 but could be wrong, it could be for HEO too.
Hi Bellawella
I can confirm that the assesment was a siftability test, but not administered by Capital. I applied for the same HEO post and sat for the same online test. I have an interview next week Friday and I'm quite nervours about my presentation. I'm not sure what particular leardeship skills/qualities the interview panel is looking for, and whether I would be ask series of questions on each competence or a question per competence.
Your advice would be very much appreciated.

I had my interview today....10 minutes for the presentation ... Then one main quaestion for each compentency ...but they may ask you to elaborate....not a clue how Ive done ( just glad its over) but I should hear end of June .... fingers crossed!!0

So these tests are not at an assesment centre where they are monitored ?
They are done online?
How do they know that you complete it within the time frame ?
Or even if you have help with harder`questions?0 -
Hi,
I did the test at the weekend. It is done online. You get an hour to answer 36 questions. I didnt finish the test and only answered 32 questions, it is quite tough!!
You know how much time you have left as there is a clock counting down in the corner of the screen. You dont have time to ask for help, believe me!!0 -
Hi,
Has anyone completed the online test for this.
q1When did you receive your username and password and link to the test?
q2Also how did you find it?
q3Did you finish well within the time, if so how many minutes before?
q4Which quesiton number did you find difficult or could not do?
Do post here if you pass or not.
Thanks
I received all details to access the online test within the timescales provided.
I found it very straightforward. You do need a calculator as there are some maths questions within the scenarios posed.
I completed the 36 questions with just under 30 minutes remaining.
I can't comment on the actual content as you agree an undertaking that you won't on the first page.
I hope to find out how I got on next week as presentations & interviews take place the following week.“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

Hi there, my son completed his online test today for a AA position, he was temp before this, his extended contract ended in April 09, so he is hoping to get back in - in the same role.
He told me it was not the literacy or numeracy test, but the one that is timed at 75 mins with 36 questions.
Does anyone know how many he needs to pass on this actual test?
Cheers.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I received my username & password within the dates the job ad said I would receive them. I completed the test a couple of weeks ago but have heard nothing back yet.
I thought it was ok but I don't really like questions where you have to give a response without the chance to explain why or the opportunity to clarify things. So, I didn't like the 'what would you do?' type questions.
I think I had between 5&10 minutes to spare.
Hello,
I came across your post and need your help with a question. I have just done the online test for an HEO position, but I think I got three of the numeracy questions wrong, I am sure I did well with the situational judgement ones. Would you know if that would affect my chances for an interview?
