So i started selling on ebay about a month or 2 ago. I had an auction up for a lot of old vogue magazines...some of you may remember my original post about this at the time?
Anyway, there was a job lot of about 10 old Vogues from 2005-2006, they didn't go for very much, but i wasn't too bothered, as they were just taking up space.
The winner paid for them as soon as they finished.
BUT
They were listed as local pick up only, as they are HEAVY!
But the winner was located somewhere in England (me in Scotland) and had messaged me after paying for the mags saying can i let her know when is a good time for a courier to come and collect them, and can i have them boxed, labeled and ready for collection!!!
Firstly i was shocked as to how pushy she was, she had never asked me during the auction if arranging a courier was ok before bidding on the item!!
I emailed her back saying that i was sorry, i didn't have anything big enough to put them in, and was not willing to pay for a box from the post office for them. Plus a courier would mean i would have to wait in the house all day, as they usually say they will be there between 9-5. I cannot wait in the house all day, i am a full time student and work my day off college, as well as 5-10 most nights during the week.
So i refunded her money, and left it at that.
Now i log onto Ebay this morning and she has left me negative feedback, my first one!!!
What can i do about this, as i really don't feel i deserve it, she should have asked me first about a courier before bidding, and i told her this and refunded her.
Can i have it removed at all?
And if you got through all this you deserve a medal!

Afraid there is not much that you can do.
To be fair to the buyer, you said local pick up and they asked when it was convinent for a courier to pick them up.0 -
You could file a non-paying bidder, I am sure last time I did that there was an option for situations like this.
You might be able to get the feedback removed depends on the results.
If not add a comment on your feedback basically with a short explanation.
What is your feedback rating out of interest, as a buyer someone having 1 negative in a load of positives doesn't worry me (can't please them all).
As a seller I haven't received one yet but I have feedback of over 650 with about 200 being sales so I don't think a negative would be too damaging.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Absolutely not, sorry but if I sell for collection only then that is what I mean. I negotiate with the buyer to collect between 5-6 pm on Wednesday, the stuff is in bags (at best) or loose in the porch and if they are nice I'll help carry the stuff to the car.
I do not mean I'm happy to wait in all day, box the stuff, print off packing labels, have it weighed etc. If I want tio use a courier then i'll arrange it at my convenience.
Cheeky buyer, I don't know what to suggest here really apart from the usual about blocking them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. how do i get the feedback removed?0

Basically if you win a none paying bidder case it is then deemed that any feedback from that transaction is void as it could be left in spite of a none payment strike on there account.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

it's notouriously difficult to get ebay to remove feedback as often even if they do remove the comments they wont remove the actual negative and the effect on your feedback score.
i have had 2 negatives (quite far apart) and i felt them both to be unjustified and so requested a revision of the feedback, one woman who was totally unreasonable throughout and who i suspect is no stranger to leaving negative comments simply refused flat to revise her feedback.
However the other buyer who was at first reasonable but got very annoyed when his item developed a fault and just negged me in pure anger was happy to revise his feedback when i pointed out that with the type of item he purchased (electronic item) some faults were inevitable and that i had a returns policy for such instances he was happy to revise his feedback based on the service he recieved after sale rather than the item developing a fault which when calm i think he accepted was not something i could control.
i think your buyer was probably just upset that she couldn't get her item(s) and acted in anger, if you were to email her explaining the reason you stated collection was because the items were heavy and difficult to package and that you did not have the time in your shedule to wait in for curriers where such a broad collection time is given, and that you apologise for any misunderstanding but feel that in refunding promptly you acted in good faith so as to not cause undue aggravation and deserve to be judged on how you resolved the problem since it was simply a misunderstanding, which had the buyer asked if sending a currier was ok could have been avoided, although you accept perhaps you could have been clearer in your listing. State also you feel that negative feedback should be reserved for more serious and deliberate acts of deception or bad service and not for such minor misunderstandings.
If that doesn't work, then perhaps you'll just have to take this neg on the chin0 -
I feel your reply to them was really negative, rather than trying to find a compromise to the solution.
You should have told them that it was actually pick up only, but if they could arrange a courier to arrive between 7pm and 8pm on Thursday, and bring their own box, then that would be fine. Bearing in mind that even for pick up you'd have to arrange a time to be in...
Your negative won't get removed, but perhaps in future you should try and compromise when things don't go to plan rather than sending begrudging sounding responses!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
